The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina. I would like to add that this whole frequent urination thing began after i masturbated.

She said it was especially prominent after intercourse. I know FREQUENt urination is a sign of pregnancy. But she had had her periods and has no other symptoms. Any ideas?Thanks.

I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?

Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.

Also, the difference between UTI frequent urination and pregnancy frequent urination is with pregnancy your bladder feels full, but a UTI you are uncomfortable and feel like you need to just pee to get comfortable, your bladder doesn't feel full. Yeast infections are itchy and don't make you need to urinate. You will get a creamy-cheese like discharge. I suffer from UTI's a lot, and this is my 2nd pregnancy so I can tell the difference.

even though it may not be a lot, when i feel i have to go theres always some in there. but i get up like 5 times a night. could i have a UTI or does it sound like reg pregnancy symptoms?? btw i'm 25 weeks. thankss!

I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.

My understanding is that it usually takes a couple of days for UTI symptoms to start to improve. All initial antibiotic treatment is guesswork -- no single antibiotic is effective for every UTI. If not better in a couple of days, tell your doctor and a different antibiotic might be necessary. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's an STD. Cipro isn't ideal for STDs, but often would work.

UTI's are common during pregnancy. When you have the urge to go right after you just went does only a little bit come out? Does it burn when you go pee normally? Peeing more is normal during pregnancy, but I don't know if it's normal at 8 weeks or not. Either way, discuss it with your doctor so they can check to a UTI just to be on the safe side.
