Common Questions and Answers about Frequent urination on birth control

frequent-urination

Avatar n tn Are you on birth control? When we have our period theres water retention that makes us feel bloated and keeps it flowing (bc loss of blood) thats why in midol there is a diaratic..which increases urine frequency so we dont feel as bloated. If your on a birth control thats new it tends to shorten your period. If your not but you have gotten older your period can also change with age. Mine did the same thing..now esp that I am on birth control.
Avatar f tn Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.
1429510 tn?1283125376 Me and my boyfriend had sex 2 weeks ago (December 23). I am on birth control pills (Junel 21: generic Loestrin 24) and he used a condom. However, when we had sex I had just finished my period but it wasn't time to resume taking my pills. It was our first time...so it didn't go on very long. The condom didn't break or slip off. These past few days I've been a little nauseated.
Avatar f tn I started my birth control pill 2 days late due to some confusion getting authorization at the pharmacy. I also missed one pill week two. I do not use any other form of birth control and I have been lightly spotting on and off for the past 3 days and my period is due in about a week. I have been experiencing breast tenderness, fatigue, frequent urination and some dizziness. Should I be concerned that I am pregnant?
Avatar f tn Then he put on a condom and we had sex for about another 2-3 min before i panicked and stopped him again.I was on birth control for about 3 months but I just stopped taking my birth control about 1-2 weeks before this occurrence. When i stopped my birth control i got my period instantly and had it for about 4-5 days like a normal period. I started taking birth control again 4 days after we had sex but i'm worried about being pregnant.
Avatar n tn The iCA just recently put out a new brochure on IC and Men since this is often misdiagnosed in men. We actually have an IC support network on this forum as well: You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn Me and my boyfriend are trying to get pregnant, I took my birth control out February 20th, we have been trying on a regular basis ever since. I now have early symptoms (Breast tenderness, light cramping, mood swings and frequent urination) but I've taken 3 HBT and they all came out negative. We really want a baby and hoping I might be pregnant, Can anyone help me out?

Avatar f tn i can go 12-16 times every hour. even at night a am woke up from constent urination. if u have any advice on what it could possibly be or how serious it may be it would help me out alot. thank you for your time.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn U can get pregnant with any birth control
1726771 tn?1309813113 So, i am sixteen and recently started the birth control needle around atleast a month ago. But the first week i started it i had sex several times unprotected with my boyfriend. I haven't gotten my period for this month, and expiriencing some early signs of pregnancy. but im not sure if its just because i just started the needle or because i am pregnant.
Avatar f tn Could be stones that you have in your bladder that haven't started to pass yet but are on the cusp, and they're triggering your urination reflex.
1380526 tn?1292839385 Also is ur urine darker at times and clear on the frequent days? This could fit my theroy. Just be careful not to dehydrate yourself to prevent the constant BR trips. Too often people stop drinking enough to compinsate and that isn't good either What a pain in the neck this is. In more ways than one.
Avatar f tn I thought that I might be overreacting, that it could just be side effects of stopping birth control or that I was just ovulating for the first time on months. Then I thought, my boyfriend and I were "together" on December 8th and 13th and almost every day since. I have taken home pregnancy tests but they are negative. However I know there is a high possibility that its way too early to tell. Anyway, any advice would be very appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have had cramping and some discharge along with frequent urination. We are trying for a baby, Could I be pregnant or is the birth control just messing with my body?
Avatar n tn The best way to be completely sure that you're not pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. But, if you were on birth control AND he used a condom AND you have had your period since then, chances are it's nothing. I blame the bloating and other symptoms on the birth control! When I first used the pill (I assume that's what you're on?) I got very bloaty and fatigued and had morning sickness. I thought I was pregnant too, I was so bloated!
Avatar n tn No, they often give birth control pills to control cysts. I have the same size cyst on my left ovary! I was on the pills for 8 years and conceived a child 2 months after I stopped taking them. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn remar its just our 2nd time xD we willl see a doctor for urine sampling and to finalize this anyway thanks for the reply :)
14089185 tn?1439417585 As a frequent birth control changer, I have seen some pros and cons to most types. I have tried the shot, the patch, the pill and I'm currently on the arm implant. Each had pluses. If you are looking for a birth control where you will have a period every month, take the pill or patch. If you are looking for something that you don't have to worry about every day/week, there's the shot.
Avatar n tn Hi I hope someone can help me I am taking Amoxicillin 250mg which is an anitbiotic and am also taking Loestrin 30 for birth control. I heard that the antibiotic effected the birth control so thought best to use a condom ... unfortunately it split and now I'm worried I could be pregnant.
Avatar f tn - frequent urination - excessive thirst - feeling faint (only once, was about to faint but quickly sat down and put my head btw my legs) I went to dermatologist and internist mainly about bald spot and mood changes at the time (which i since think were due to getting on and then off of birth control pill)... my blood tests came back all normal both times.
Avatar n tn However, i was still experiencing symptoms so i went back a second time and they found a small amount of infection and gave me the same medication and dosage as the first UTI in October, IM STILL HAVING THE SAME SYMPTOMS! I’m having frequent urination and abdominal and back pain, no burning or blood in my urine. Recently i’ve been having more frequent bowel movements then usual, also gas and brown discharge, i’m not sure if they’re all related.
Avatar n tn There are several causes for frequent night urination in men, the most common being an enlarged prostrate and medication.
