Avatar f tn I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it. I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.
Avatar f tn I have frequent nighttime urination when my magnesium is low. Give magnesium a try. Here is a link you can read through on the different types of magnesium available. As I found out, magnesium oxide doesn't do much! https://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Avatar m tn I masturbated here and there (2 times a week), but no sex. The problem never went away. However, nighttime urination is almost completely gone for 9/10 days, which is GREAT, but once i wake up, its a different story. I eliminated spicy food, coffee, and alcohol. Switched my diet to clean salads and fruits with lots of fish. I also decrease the amount of red meat intake and tried my best to eliminate sugar and simple carbs. I also went to two doctors and one urologist.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your input! I have not been evaluated for sleep apnea. I didn't even know there was such a thing.
Avatar f tn Hi. Your symptoms may come from varying sources. I just want to point out that daytime sleepiness, moodiness, & frequent nighttime urination can be a sign of a sleep disorder. Sometimes one can get enough sleep but its quality can be inadequate for one to be rejuvenated. I'd just keep that in mind. Have you been checked for anemia, diabetes & thyroid? Either of those count account for several of your symptoms. Hope you find answers soon.
Avatar m tn This could be urinary incontinence, which can result from anatomic, physiologic, or pathologic factors. This could present as frequent nighttime urination, inability to void, even when the urge is felt or dribbling even after voiding. There are several conditions that could lead to this condition such as: benign prostatic hyperplasia; neurogenic bladder, tumors, and urinary stones . In particular, overflow incontinence is a common symptom of benign prostatic hyperplasia.
Avatar n tn rapid weight loss 125 to 90, hair broke off then hair loss, low temp, cold more often than others, brain fog, frequent nighttime urination, dry skin, loss of appetite, decreased libido/dryness, pain to lift arms up further than level (tendonitis in shoulders now), painful walking - stiff (bursitis now), muscle weakness, ear feels full or like swimmers' ear often.
Avatar n tn Frequent nighttime urination can be a sign of diabetes. Adding back pain to your description could mean kidney problems. You don't need me to tell you to cut down the tea and drink water for a while to see if it helps your symptoms. Another "watch" could be for sleep apnea. It causes a hormone to be released that contributes to repeated nighttime urination. It also causes daytime fatigue and sleepiness.
237053 tn?1258828426 Yes. It comes and goes (no pun intended). If I have a "flare", then I will sometimes be subjected to frequent urination and nighttime urination. I'm sure the "bugs" in the system affect my bladder and prostate at times. I had a case last week for about a day urinating a lot while I was feeling crummy, but it seems to have cleared back up.
Avatar n tn Diabetes is one possible cause of frequent nighttime urination. So is sleep apnea - has to do with the hormone ANP. You mention jumping up hearing your heart pounding as you fall asleep - Are you sure your poor sleep isn't related to some problems of your own, such as sleep apnea? Maybe a family appointment with a sleep doc wouldn't be a bad idea.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
Avatar n tn If it is really a change for you, it is best to see your doctor as there are a variety of health reasons that cause frequent urination. I found that I was having frequent urination at night and had to limit liquid intake after a certain hour and that certain things cause me to have to go more such as iced tea. ?? Have no idea why but that seems to come straight back out. talk to your doctor if you are having this symptom.
