About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
t it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. As I said avove, there was NO STD risk from the event describe -- none, zero, nada, zilch, nichevo. Got it? That means there is no information you can provide that will change my opinion or advice. Of course you cannot catch NGU through a condom, and NGU doesn't cause the symptoms you describe; it's clearly your "mind working overtime". Frequent urination may sometimes be an STD symptom in women, but rarely if ever in men.

I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.

You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for.

My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine.
He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.

I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.
The 3rd day I developed a pain on the underside of the head of my penis and around the edges of my head with frequent urination at times the pain felt more like chaffing then burning. The pain was always there not just when I urinated. I got a chlymedia and Gonnerhea urine test the next day. Both came back negative. I thought the pain would go away because I was just stressed. I kept on checking my penis for cases of injuries or symptoms of herpes. I thought for sure I got herpes.
2x's is not frequent. It's ferquent when you have it every 15-20 mins for hours upon hours.
Frequent urination doesn't suggest STD of any kind. It is often a symptom of stress or anxiety, especially when the source of anxiety is concern about genital health. So I doubt you caught an STD, and I doubt anything is wrong except for anxiety. But if your symptoms persist, see your health care provider or your local STD clinic for examination and reassurance. You can expect that nothing abnormal will be found.
urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management.

hi, i have been experiencing frequent urination and got tested for uti. they said they didnt find any bacteria so does that mean i do not have to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea? i do not have discharge and i took all the antibiotics from cipro, oflox, and azythro. currently im taking oxybutynine hci for overactive bladder since i had a ultra sound and they found nothing. btw im 20 yrs old healthy male but all these symptoms appeared after my sexual encounter.. it should be a std right?

I am experiencing prostate inflammation, that is not responding to antibiotics (cipro, now on doxy).
My female partner has no signs other than some frequent urination. I was screened for all other std's, all negative.
The symptoms I have mirror bladder infection as well. waiting on urine culture - but dip test was all neg.
Any other thoughts?
Since this treatment, I have frequent urination about every other day, and my pee just drips after. Like a single clear drop on the tip of my penis. Maybe once every 2 wks there will be a slight clear sticky discharge, not a lot, after I ejaculate. 15 min or so later. Were my tests false negative. Could antibiotics or paranoia cause this? Please help!
