Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar n tn The iCA just recently put out a new brochure on IC and Men since this is often misdiagnosed in men. We actually have an IC support network on this forum as well: You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar m tn 2 days really nothing. The frequent urination is not because of std just after 2 days.
Avatar m tn Benign prostate enlargement is common in older men, yes it does lead to more frequent urination but has nothing to do with there being a cancerous condition (prostates just get larger with age and can start being a nuisance when they press on nerves).
Avatar n tn M SITTING). frequent urination (mostly at night), itching on side of penis external.( about one day out of a week)and anal itching(once every two weeks. What do these symptoms sound like.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn yes, frequent urination and bloody discharge are common symptoms of gonorrhea. Even if its not an std, you should still see a family physician about it. Best of luck.
Avatar n tn Hello, You are right in guessing that it can be prostate problem. The symptoms that you are having i.e. frequent urinating, pain in abdomen and at the tip of penis and painful ejaculations can be due to prostatitis. I fell that you should consult a urologist and get urine and semen test, cystoscopy and urodynamic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. Treatment will depend on confirmation of diagnosis. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn My bladder is pretty sensitive, I feel a need to urinate when there is even a little bit of urine in there. Its not too bad during the day because I'm distracted by other things, but it gets incredibly annoying at night! I keep going to bathroom every 10-15 min to squeeze out few little drops... Some days this keeps me awake for hours. If i do fall asleep, then ill keep sleeping no problem.
Avatar f tn A related discussion, recurrent frequent urination was started.
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Avatar m tn i am facing frequent urination problem . i am passing every 2 hours . i am having sometime very mild burning sensation and pain and both the upper part on stomach. sometimes on my left back side . can anyone help me rid off this ?
Avatar f tn I follow his prescription s but do not find any improvements. The rate of frequent urination is after every 1.5 hour. I have already done my ultrasound and urine infection test .
Avatar f tn If there are stressful situations affecting him, try to make sure he has some relaxation time, or quiet time to spend with his family. After about 3 to 5 months, the frequent urination symptoms dissapeared for my son. I hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar n tn After the surgery my doctor told me that my uterus was stuck to my bladder. Since then I have been having frequent urination. Sometimes 15 times a day and atleast 4 to 5 times a night. What can I do?
Avatar f tn Also i drink a lot of water before going off to bed, may be that could be a reason but in general also i have a problem of frequent urination.
Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn A neurologic problem, hormonal disorders, pituitary gland problems, a urinary tract infection, increase intake of fluids and certain medications. Certain tests may need to be done to have these differentials excluded. A baseline urinalysis and urine culture, urodynamic studies, and CT scan of the kidney, ureter and bladder may help. I suggest a consult with a urologist to at least rule out an underlying urinary tract infection.
Avatar m tn Hi I'm a 31 year old male. That has been suffering from episodes of frequent urination. I had a UTI about two years ago that was treated with anti-biotics. But since then I have been hit with episodes of frequent urination. I've been tested for every kind of STD, nothing has come up in my urine samples, and I've had my prostate examined a dozen times, and every doctor tells me its fine. In the last several months I have had episodes of frequent urination.
Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar f tn I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it. I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.
