frequent-urination

Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar n tn The iCA just recently put out a new brochure on IC and Men since this is often misdiagnosed in men. We actually have an IC support network on this forum as well: You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar m tn 2 days really nothing. The frequent urination is not because of std just after 2 days.
Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar m tn Benign prostate enlargement is common in older men, yes it does lead to more frequent urination but has nothing to do with there being a cancerous condition (prostates just get larger with age and can start being a nuisance when they press on nerves).

One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar m tn I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!

Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn Hello, Your symptom is called polyuria (excessive frequency of voiding). It can be due to many reasons which can be physiological or disease-related, and include excessive intake of liquids, diuretic substances (including tea, caffeine, alcohol, certain drugs), anxiety, exposure to cold, diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus (central or nephrogenic), urinary tract infections or obstruction, etc to name a few more common ones.

Avatar f tn I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it. I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.

They reran the urine test last week and the doctor said the blood was still present, but at a low level. He wants to have another urine test in a few weeks. Should I wait that long? How serious is this?

Avatar m tn The typical symptoms of prostatitis are fever, pelvic, testicle, or rectal pain, frequent and painful urination and ejaculation and incomplete emptying of bladder. So it is very difficult to say whether you are having prostatitis or not. However for prostatitis the first line of treatment is by antibiotics and in some cases, a course of antibiotics may last two to three months. Hence you should follow up with your urologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
