frequent urination in second trimester

I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?

It's normal in the first trimester because of the increased hormone labels and blood flow, it'll taper off in the second trimester and pick up again in the third when baby gets big.

Normal unfortunately. It eases up in the second trimester, then you go back to peeing more in your third!

Very normal, it'll go away into your second trimester then return with a vengeance in your third.

It's totally normal to have discharge. Especially during the first trimester. It'll get better during the second trimester then worse again during the third. And ever since I've been pregnant I've been peeing constantly. Lol.

i thought that this symptom was sopposed to settle down in the second trimester until the baby started growing larger.. is this normal?

t have frequent urination until I hit the end of my second trimester and I did have nausea in my first trimester but that was it it's actually starting to come back as I get closer to my due date

I've had frequent urination since it started in the first trimester. Im in the first week of my third. It never went away. Somedays was better than others. My doctor said his favorite spot to lay is on my bladder.

So, thoughts on this involve the different phases of pregnancy. More frequent urination takes place in EARLY pregnancy because of a couple of reasons. First, the hormones of pregnancy themselves namely HCG. But second, you are pumping more blood to the abdominal area and this affects the kidneys which will have more urine output. For many women it is the very first sign of pregnancy (as it is often really subtle, early pregnancy symptoms).

I'm 9w5d and on my second pregnancy. With my daughter I had no symptoms what so ever... with this one my breasts are so sore that they hurt with or without a bra. Even if my shirt rubs them the wrong way I want to scream!!! The slightest bump and I want to punch something..... I also had shooting pains especially through my nipples but that seemed to subside (thank god). My Dr said the pains are completely normal. Good luck!

i felt the same during my first trimester. each day i hoped to reach my second trimester soon so the morning sickness, acnes, frequent night urination will go away. During this time, you can find new hobbies to keep your mind off your pregnancy so time will fly a lot faster.

First trimester so until 13 weeks frequent urination then stoos for a few weeks and starts back up. Completely normal.

No the baby is more then likely head down by now and the extra pressure on your bladder making you go to the toilet more it's normal :)

I know frequent urination is common during the first trimester, but I thought second trimester it was supposed to slow down. I'm not drinking any more or less than I was then. I stopped peeing as much and now at 16w6d I can't stop peeing! It doesn't burn but could it be a uti?

My first I had morning sickness really bad for the first trimester then my pregnancy was super easy no pain nothing no discharge,no acne, no pain, no frequent urination, just some heart burn. This boy I had no morning sickness just extreme fatigue the first trimester and the rest I've been in tons of pelvic pain, acne, peeing all the time, excess discharge, bloody gums, heart burn. Everyone is different. I had no symptoms until 18 weeks. You usually don't show until your second trimester. I was 16 weeks when I started to show.

My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.

Very warm sensation behind and (seemingly) in the testicles. Also a thin discharge and frequent urination. Testicles remained warm (and very low hanging) but not as warm as on day 8. Urologist prescribed Cipro (250mg 2x/day 10 days). Did not alleviate the symptoms. Actually, I seem to have had an allergic reaction to the Cipro (difficulty breathing most nights and a fainting episode on one night). Discontinued the Cipro; after completing 9 days of treatment.

I would recommend getting urself checked for uti as even though women think its early sign of pregnancy but according to books frequent urination does not start till u r in 2nd trimester... Take care n best of luck...
