frequent-urination

Avatar n tn Our dog has been limping and seems to have a hard time getting up and down lately. She is also urinating frequently. She is about ten years old, Lab Shepard mix and has been in great health otherwise. What are the most likely causes of this recent downturn in her health?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm a 20 yr old college student and as of a year, I have been experiencing frequent bladder problems. When I use the restroom, I never feel as though my bladder is empty. I constantly feel the urge to urinate even though I've spent about 5 minutes on the toilet trying to empty out my bladder (sometimes, it can take 20min). When I first get the urge to urinate, the flow is fine. However, a pinch starts to come out then it stops, then another pinch, then another stop and so forth.
Avatar f tn However, At her age, if she has not had a Senior Blood Panel lately, she needs one.....There are diseases that can cause frequent urination and they're easier to treat when caught early....Most will show up on bloodwork.. All my dogs get blood panels & Kidney panels yearly, after the age of 5.....I don't like surprises!!! I'm going with a UTI, but to be on the safe side, Rule out other issues, also.....
Avatar f tn My son also had this problem when he was in the 2nd grade.( 7 years old). Because he would need to go to the bathroom about every 30 min, it was very disruptive at school. His doctor referred him to a Urologist. The Urologist ran some tests, including a kidney sonogram. Everything was normal. I cant remember exactly what it is called, but his Urologist explained that this was a common, benign condition that will resolve on its own.
Avatar n tn Carbonated drinks have an adverse effect on healing and the additives in them can predispose to the formation of renal calculi, especially in a kidney that is recovering from an infective insult/ If the infection was persistent, your son would have had frequency of urination even at night. Do ensure that he has adequate fluid intake 1500 - 2000 ml per day that includes milk, citrus juices, and water. You can always substitute carbonated drinks with lemonade.

Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?
721523 tn?1331581802 I have frequent problems with urination. Difficulty in getting the muscles to relax, urgency (when it's time to go, I gotta go - or I'm going to have an accident.) And today I coughed and wet my pants! I think that's known as stress incontinence - but I haven't had any kids, so I'm blaming it on muscle weakness. Some of my symptoms have stuck around, some have gone away... so it's really just a case of wait and see.
Avatar n tn My pet spaniel has been put on lasix for his heart condition. My question is, is there a minimum dosage that's effective yet reduces the amount of water intake and his frequent urination. His quality of life and ours is very difficult right now as he must be taken out frequently. He is approximately 20 lbs.
Avatar m tn First, you need to have a Vet rule out any Urinary Tract Infection and/or Bladder/Kidney Stones causing the urination...If all medical issues are clear, then retraining is next....Most times older dogs have a fixable reason to suddenly start peeing in the house......
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
