frequent-urination

Avatar m tn 2 days really nothing. The frequent urination is not because of std just after 2 days.
Avatar f tn Although I have read that occasionally men will find blood in there semen for one reason or another... But in my case it's all seems like it would have to be one major coincidence, For all of this to be happening and it not be related to my encounter...
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.
Avatar m tn As I said avove, there was NO STD risk from the event describe -- none, zero, nada, zilch, nichevo. Got it? That means there is no information you can provide that will change my opinion or advice. Of course you cannot catch NGU through a condom, and NGU doesn't cause the symptoms you describe; it's clearly your "mind working overtime". Frequent urination may sometimes be an STD symptom in women, but rarely if ever in men.
Avatar n tn The iCA just recently put out a new brochure on IC and Men since this is often misdiagnosed in men. We actually have an IC support network on this forum as well: You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for. http://www.medhelp.
Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar m tn Almost all trichomonas infections in men are entirely asymptomatic, and men usually know they have it only when a female partner gets infected. Rarely it can cause nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), with urethral discharge and/or uncomfortable urination. It probably can linger for years. Nothing shows up in urinalysis or routine culture. Happily, trich is harmless in men and usually not serious in women either.
Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar n tn i'm a 19 years old healthy men my problem is i pee when i go to sleep in my dreams, anybody know why? it's not only 1x its like every other week...
Avatar m tn In younger men, psa tests have value when there's a rapid rise in the level between tests, as that's certainly attention getting. A study of a large grouping of men under age 40 showed that levels encountered were 0.01 to 3.34 with a median/average of 0.56 ng/L [ BJU Int. 2012 Dec;110(11):1627-35 ] Do you have a family history of prostate cancer?
Avatar n tn Symptoms do not come on the next day and frequent urination is usually not a stand alone symptom and frequent means like every 10-15 minutes. If worried wait 1 week from the encounter and get tested for gonorrhea, but overall I see no need to do so.
Avatar n tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.
393893 tn?1283551230 Knowing an age would help from any medical pracs in the forum, but def get a prostate and urinary check, could be anything from an infection to diabetes, again I am no doc but having lived for 53 years I have been the route with many of the male problems.
Avatar m tn I went to the clinic and they recommended a full std screening in a couple weeks.
Avatar m tn The 3rd day I developed a pain on the underside of the head of my penis and around the edges of my head with frequent urination at times the pain felt more like chaffing then burning. The pain was always there not just when I urinated. I got a chlymedia and Gonnerhea urine test the next day. Both came back negative. I thought the pain would go away because I was just stressed. I kept on checking my penis for cases of injuries or symptoms of herpes. I thought for sure I got herpes.
Avatar n tn Could I still have an STD. He said if I had an STD (Gon or Chlam) the Floxstat would kill it in a few days. Please advise it has been a week since sex.
Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar n tn hi, i have been experiencing frequent urination and got tested for uti. they said they didnt find any bacteria so does that mean i do not have to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea? i do not have discharge and i took all the antibiotics from cipro, oflox, and azythro. currently im taking oxybutynine hci for overactive bladder since i had a ultra sound and they found nothing. btw im 20 yrs old healthy male but all these symptoms appeared after my sexual encounter.. it should be a std right?
Avatar m tn Hello Drs., thanks in advance for your answer to my question. 39 year old married male here, and like many other posters on here I screwed up and I'm pretty worried about it...about 4 months ago I received unprotected oral sex from another man. I understand that the chance of catching something is pretty low, but the most likely culprit would be gonorrhea. I didn't have any discharge, painful urination, etc, after the encounter, and I never got tested.
