Avatar f tn My 18 year old son is having similiar problems. Started 3 months ago. Worse during the day (when sitting). His urinalysis (4 of them) comes back clear with no infection. He's had an ultra-sound that also came back fine. He's gone to two urologist (we didn't like the first one) and both called it Dysuria Frequent Urgency. The second doctor put him on an anti-biotic (sulfameth) just in case there was a slight infection not showing up in test.
Avatar f tn Although I have read that occasionally men will find blood in there semen for one reason or another... But in my case it's all seems like it would have to be one major coincidence, For all of this to be happening and it not be related to my encounter...
Avatar m tn Benign prostate enlargement is common in older men, yes it does lead to more frequent urination but has nothing to do with there being a cancerous condition (prostates just get larger with age and can start being a nuisance when they press on nerves).
Avatar m tn 2 days really nothing. The frequent urination is not because of std just after 2 days.
Avatar n tn The iCA just recently put out a new brochure on IC and Men since this is often misdiagnosed in men. We actually have an IC support network on this forum as well: You might want to consider a referral to a pelvic pain PT. They are often able to rule out and pelvic issues, muscular etc. that doctor's are not trained to look for. http://www.medhelp.
393893 tn?1283551230 Knowing an age would help from any medical pracs in the forum, but def get a prostate and urinary check, could be anything from an infection to diabetes, again I am no doc but having lived for 53 years I have been the route with many of the male problems.
Avatar f tn Am so worried about frequent urination. I urinate more than I take in. I had a bad attack last month and ended up in hospital. Now that am out, I wake up every morning feeling sick and weak. I have to eat something but takes hours to feel better. I have frequent urination during the day and am worried about dehydration so I keep drinking more water and urinating more than I take in. all tests..
Avatar n tn Symptoms do not come on the next day and frequent urination is usually not a stand alone symptom and frequent means like every 10-15 minutes. If worried wait 1 week from the encounter and get tested for gonorrhea, but overall I see no need to do so.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this?
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.
Avatar n tn In general, the decision to initiate medication for the enlarged prostate (BPH) is guided by the severity of their symptoms consistent with an enlarged prostate such as frequent urination, difficulty initiating urination, weak stream, and frequent nighttime urination. Often these are evaluated by a patient’s response to a standardized set of questions that help to establish a threshold of symptoms that warrant treatment with medication.
Avatar f tn For the past year I have been peeing a lot. I dont just get the "urge" to go, I actually go...and go...and go some more. About every 30 minutes to an hour. It has progressively been getting worse. I am in my mid 20's and am healthy besides that.
Avatar f tn Anyway, it can be related to stress, anxiety, new situations or changes in schedule, even overstimulation and excitement. Believe it not, one of the best things to do is to make sure he stays hydrated, if he goes more when he does go, he will be less likely to feel more frequent urgency with less amount of urine output. If there are stressful situations affecting him, try to make sure he has some relaxation time, or quiet time to spend with his family.
Avatar m tn As I said avove, there was NO STD risk from the event describe -- none, zero, nada, zilch, nichevo. Got it? That means there is no information you can provide that will change my opinion or advice. Of course you cannot catch NGU through a condom, and NGU doesn't cause the symptoms you describe; it's clearly your "mind working overtime". Frequent urination may sometimes be an STD symptom in women, but rarely if ever in men.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it. I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.
Avatar m tn Before this relationship I have had unprotected sex with one other partner from a past relationship within the last year. In the past couple months I have noticed a frequent urge to urinate that varies in severity and can be quite uncomfortable at times when anxiety is high and faint testicular pain that also varies. I have not noticed any discharge other than what I am quite sure is semen ( clear and sticky) and possibly a very small amount of clear fluid after urination.
Avatar m tn Following my anxiety epidosodians for which I am being treated, in week 6 and for two days I experienced some ardor in the urethra, with frequent urination (which scared me a lot because I thought it was gonorrhea or chlamydia). This was removed at two days. However, in week 7 and for another 2 days I felt the same, frequent urination and a feeling of not having evacuated the entire urine, I am going to the bathroom every hour or every 2 hours, this is not normal for me.
Avatar m tn m very nervous as I am married and am feeling a burning sensation at the tip of my penis, usually after urination. Could this all be in my mind? Is chlymidia or gonnorhea passed common in this fashion? Please let me know.
Avatar m tn Almost all trichomonas infections in men are entirely asymptomatic, and men usually know they have it only when a female partner gets infected. Rarely it can cause nongonococcal urethritis (NGU), with urethral discharge and/or uncomfortable urination. It probably can linger for years. Nothing shows up in urinalysis or routine culture. Happily, trich is harmless in men and usually not serious in women either.
Avatar m tn Prostatitis is also caused by infection by bacteria that normally live in your bowel and it may cause similar symptoms of pain during urination, frequent urination, pain in abdomen, tip of penis and scrotum and dribbling or hesitant urination. Hence these possibilities should also be kept in mind for your symptoms. The positive point is that you have taken two courses of Zithropmax which is the treatment for epididymitis, urethritis/ prostatitis, gonorrhea and Chlamydia.
