Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn Ask for a cystoscopy (where they put a camera in your urethra to see what's blocking it). I'm going in for one in a few weeks and hoping for answers.
Avatar f tn Also i drink a lot of water before going off to bed, may be that could be a reason but in general also i have a problem of frequent urination.

139792 tn?1498585650 I tale about a minute to start urination all the time when i go for urination. I am 80. Not diabetic.Bladder functioning OK. No enlargement of prostate. confirmed by sonography. Any suggestion?
Avatar n tn A cystoscopy can always be done to look for any local causes for the same. An infection in the prostate could be a culprit in the same. Hence, a rectal examination can also help in picking up the chronic prostatitis which can give rise to the symptoms which you’ve mentioned. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar f tn It began when I was approximately eight years old, occuring once at that time, I had to use the restroom to urinate, and upon returning to my bedroom, I experienced a strong urge to urinate again in a large volume. After that incident, it did not happen again for a long time. As I grew older and entered my teenage years, the issue resurfaced. I started urinating frequently with short intervals and in significant amounts. It can endure for a few minutes to several hours.
Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
1380526 tn?1292839385 Another thing I have noticed lately is that I have to urinate much more than I ever did! I could go all night without having to get up...I could play 18 holes of golf, and while everyone was hitting the bathrooms on the course...I was "cool, calm and collected". Now, I'm up 3-4 times a night...and gong twice as much during the day than I ever did before. I have read articles that this can be related to the Chiari....Nothing else has changed...
Avatar f tn Same here. Have to pee all the time! I had a UTI with no symptoms in first trimester and now I'm paranoid that constant need to go is a symptom of another UTI. I thought pressure on bladder was supposed to decrease for awhile in 2nd trimester...?
721523 tn?1331581802 I have frequent problems with urination. Difficulty in getting the muscles to relax, urgency (when it's time to go, I gotta go - or I'm going to have an accident.) And today I coughed and wet my pants! I think that's known as stress incontinence - but I haven't had any kids, so I'm blaming it on muscle weakness. Some of my symptoms have stuck around, some have gone away... so it's really just a case of wait and see.
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
393893 tn?1283551230 Hi, Irritative urinary symptoms like increase in urinary frequency may suggest an underlying infection. I suggest that a urologic consult be made for a complete physical examination. A urinalysis will be able to help determine an underlying infection. A digital rectal examination (when the doctor palpates the prostate with his finger) may be able to assess if there is possible prostate involvement.
Avatar m tn The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.

Avatar f tn I am 30 yr old male . I have frequent urination since 2 months. KUB, urine analysis, urine culture and diabtic tests have been done. No infections were found. I had white discharge thrice in this two months. And burning sensation after ejaculation. The problem gets worst once ejaculated.some times urine passes as two streams. One with thinnner stream and other as a drops.(not always this stream).
Avatar n tn Carbonated drinks have an adverse effect on healing and the additives in them can predispose to the formation of renal calculi, especially in a kidney that is recovering from an infective insult/ If the infection was persistent, your son would have had frequency of urination even at night. Do ensure that he has adequate fluid intake 1500 - 2000 ml per day that includes milk, citrus juices, and water. You can always substitute carbonated drinks with lemonade.
Avatar f tn No its not ur still in early stages u may have a Urinary Tract Infection on ur next doctors visit tell your doctor and they would tell you what's going on
Avatar f tn I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back. The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Avatar m tn t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!
Avatar m tn I'm a 17 year old male. Backstory: Last Tuesday (dec 29th) I felt like I had to urinate frequently. I'd go, and possibly 5-10 minutes later I'd feel like I had to go again. Not a lot, mind you. I could even ignore the feeling for the most part, but it was there. I'd be going frequently for the next couple of days but in very little amounts. I went to the Doctor on last Thursday and last Monday and received a urine test both times and they both came out negative for everything.
Avatar n tn Hello, Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but urge of frequent urination can be due to increased intake of fluids or diabetes mellitus.Other possibilities are glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection, hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism, diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in elderly males).
