Avatar f tn This summer I experienced extreme pain in my right flank along with back pain on the right side and frequent urination. Dr thought it was either kidney stones or a pulled back muscle. After a couple of weeks this pain subsided, however then I developed swelling in my left foot that was thought to be gout. After a couple weeks this too subsided. Since Christmas I have been experiencing back pain on the right side, frequent urination again and occasional lower right abdominal and pelvic pain.
Avatar m tn My father (81 yrs) has gout. Recently he is diagonised for BPH (Enlarged Prostate). He gets extremely painful gout attacks for which he used to take Voveran. But nowadays, when he takes Voveran, it stops his urination for about 12-14 hrs, which makes him very uncomfortable. Although we take good diet care of avoiding purine diet, once he gets his gout attacks, its a nightmare for about 4-5 days when he has excruciating pain & cannot walk a step.
Avatar n tn The doctor initially thought he had a urinary tract infection but my son reported no pain in urination, no frequent urination, and the urinalysis did not confirm the diagnosis. The doctor sent him for a CT scan. The CT scan showed an inflamed kidney. The doctor now believes a kidney infection and has prescribed cipro and Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain. After 5 days, the pain (while not constant) has not diminished. He often has the chills and a fever that runs 2-3 degrees above normal.
Avatar m tn I am male, 37 no bad medical history, suffer gout occassionally.I have just been to a urologist, who listened to my symptoms and examined my prostate stating that it felt ok. I had to give a urine and blood sample and now awaiting the results. My doctor wrote down "prostatitis?". I have looked around, here are my symptoms : watery semen, lack of ejaculation( used to spurt now dribbles). Slight pain in the groin, top of each thigh on left and right, a tight pain rather than a sharp one.
Avatar f tn I apologize for not replying to your comment re: my husband's diagnosis & treatment plans. Now that a year has gone by, I'm happy to say he is doing pretty well, considering everything. He had 40+ radiation treatments, along with hormone treatments, one of which he is continuing for the foreseeable future (Lupron injections every 3 months).
Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar f tn I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
Avatar n tn If it is really a change for you, it is best to see your doctor as there are a variety of health reasons that cause frequent urination. I found that I was having frequent urination at night and had to limit liquid intake after a certain hour and that certain things cause me to have to go more such as iced tea. ?? Have no idea why but that seems to come straight back out. talk to your doctor if you are having this symptom.

Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
