Avatar f tn Since doctors don't seem to want to help me figure out what's wrong, I'm trying to investigate my various symptoms to find potential diseases to rule out. For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.

Avatar n tn Typically diabetes symptoms include weight loss, for example, and not weight gain. I would continue to work with your doctor to find out what is wrong.
Avatar n tn What would cause extreme gas, frequent urination, chest discomfort, heartburn, and wheezing? For the past several days I have had to urinate often, felt a strange airy/burning sensation in my chest, heartburn, belching, and frequent gas pains and bubbly feeling in my abdomen. Also, it seems at night that I wake up suddenly with a jerk and/or gasping for air. Today I developed a shooting pain in the front of my neck and a shooting pain in my right lower pelvic area.
Avatar n tn t send you home with an Rx for a bunch of pills w/o explaining the causes/reasons for your unintended weight gain, fatigue, excess thirst and frequent urination. Unintended weight gain has various medical causes which includes thyroid disorders. Even though fatigue, excess thirst and frequent urination are usually associated with diabetes they also are symptoms of liver and kidney disease. Ask for a complete health examination - head to toe.

Avatar n tn Hello ... You are worried. Have you researched OVCA? I will post the symptoms. I went to your profile and you haven't provided enough information so that we can help answer some of your questions. How old are you? You mentioned "another doctor". Is that a gyn oncologist? Was this doctor referred to you by your gyn? You mentioned that you are waiting for the results of your CA125. It sounds like you are going through menopause but did your doctor suggest that?

Avatar n tn *Weight gain and inability to lose weight. This is not overnight weight gain, but more of a steady weight gain (40 plus pounds in a little over 3 years). This may just look like overeating, but I don't overeat. In fact, I eat less and have exercised more. My calories and activity levels are that of a lighter person. I have tried to lose weight, and nothing works. I am 5'2" and weigh 215 right now. *Fatigue and forgetfulness.

Avatar f tn I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day). I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Avatar f tn I have had a Mirena IUD for about two and a half years. I have two children. Since getting the Mirena I have had no problems. I have a period about 3 times a year and they are generally heavy one day and light for about 3 days before ending completely. I'm generally healthy and have no known medical problems other than RLS. In the last 3 or 4 weeks, I have started having several problems that I'm questioning.
2168213 tn?1357062544 It's normal not to gain weight right away. Your body is making sure that baby is getting all that it needs. I lost weight when I was first pregnant because I had really bad food aversion. I'm 39 weeks now and it's definitely caught up to me!

Avatar n tn However, around last May (2007) I was trying to gain weight and I added in weight gainer shakes. I cannot remember the brand, but I remember they had around 600cal each, and ~40g of protein(I have since learned that this is too much protein for your body to use at once). I drank 2 of these a day, and nothing else about my diet changed. I was probably consuming about 180-200g of protein a day, while weighing 150lb @ 8% body fat.

I HAD MY THIRD SON IN SEPT AND HAD ONE DEPO SHOT TO TIDE ME OVER TILL THE DOC WAS AVAILABLE TO GIVE ME THE IMPLANON. AFTER 4 WEEKS OF GETTING THE SHOT, ALL THE SIDE EFFECTS STARTED AGAIN.

Avatar n tn Other than that I would just keep an eye on it and watch for symptoms such as extreme thirst, frequent urination or weight loss. At your age and weight Type 1 would probably be a more likely problem than Type 2 (and actually you have posted to the Type 1 forum). As for the sleep, everyone is different and if you feel rested enough with 6 hours sleep that is fine; the eight hour we all were taught is more common, but some of us do fine on less.
