I know that frequent urination is a sign of diabetes so I am concerned. Are there any other signs of diabetes I should look for? Any other possible explanations? I would love to put my mind at ease.

s. My only symptoms at this time was frequent urination and penile discomfort (on/off), no discharge. I had to wait to see my urologist so in the mean time I took Cipro I had on hand that my urologist gave to me incase I had any flare ups. Go see a doctor and get tested. Frequent urination is one sign of type 2 diabetes. Had ultrasound that was clear no further follow up. Having frequent urination current urine tests still shows 3.3 (not sure what this means) microscopic hematuria. No infection. Being referred to a urologist but very anxious and hoping for some advice while I wait for an appointment. My paternal grandmother died of bladder cancer in her 80s. History of Kidney reflux in daughter and niece.

Go and see your doctor to have him or her check to see if you have a urinary tract infection. Frequent and urgent urination and sometimes a burning sensation an be an indication that you have an infection. All the best.

About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..

I didn't really experience frequent urination during my first trimester...but am having it in my second trimester..am 15 weeks 5 days..anyone else with the same issue.could this be normal?
