You need to see a doctor and get tested for diabetes: an OGTT (oral glucose tolerance test), a fasting glucose test, or an A1c test. If diabetes runs in the family your chance of getting it is higher than most.

Avatar m tn Frequent urination and unintentional weight loss are classic signs of diabetes. See Dr as soon as possible for bloodwork. Also you can purchase a glucose meter at any pharmacy to check before then. But you will need a Dr to tell you if it is def diabetes or not.

Those tests will give you a real answer and you won't just worry if she does have diabetes.

My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise). Avatar f tn You are right in saying that frequent urination is one sign of diabetes together with excessive thirst, excessive hunger, weight loss and fatigue Talk to your doctor for another glucose test if the previous test was already a year ago to determine if there are changes in your glucose levels. I have had fatigue and unilateral lactation and in the past have had frequent urination. I have multinodular nontoxic thyroid goiter. I also have excessive salivation and itching.
