frequent-urination

Avatar f tn No , your symptoms don't seem like the classical diabetes symptoms of extreme thirst, frequent urination. Yes, with high blood sugar one does feel sleepy but that is quickly followed by the symptoms I describe above, at least for me. I have been diabetic for nearly 30 years now.
Avatar f tn As the previous poster stated, often keeping your blood glucose (BG) under control will help to alleviate diabetes symptoms such as increased thirst and frequent urination. If you are not checking your blood sugar at home, I would recommend making an appointment with your doctor to check your blood glucose and make sure that your medication is at the correct dose to manage your diabetes.

Avatar n tn The excessive thirst is always accompinied by frequent urination. The thirst is often for something sweet, because your body is looking for energy where ever it can get it. Other symptoms include rapid weight-loss and not the good kind either, before I was diagnosed I lost 35lbs in 2 weeks. If you do exhibit these symptoms get your blood sugar tested if you have access to a glucose tester.

My urine flow also is normal, I take little time to start urinating as the amount of urine is not much. there is no urinary leakage , i feel my pelvic floor muscles are strong enough.
Avatar n tn Frequent urination, Excessive thirst, Extreme hunger, Unusual weight loss, Increased fatigue, Irritability and blurry vision are some other symptoms of diabetes I would suggest if you recognize one or more of these symptoms to take her to the doctor and request a Fasting Plasma Glucose Test or an Oral Glucose Tolerance Test. Those tests will give you a real answer and you won't just worry if she does have diabetes.
Avatar n tn The intense thirst and frequent urination ABSOLUTELY sound like juvenile diabetes, and the exhaustion is highly suspicious. I have never heard of scabs being a symptom. Have they checked her blood sugar level and done a urine test? Make sure they do!
1090423 tn?1286287650 Your symptoms do not particularly sound like diabetes (common symptoms are frequent urination, increased thirst and weight loss). See your doctor if your problems continue.
Avatar n tn m not a physician, but the symptoms of untreated diabetes include thirst, frequent urination, and tiredness. Some children are diagnosed shortly after some other health problem like a virus, so I urge you to have her evaluated right away. Diabetes is certainly treatable ... and the sooner one gets an accurate diagnosis, the better. Please check in again, for you may get other replies ... and let us know what the official medical evaluation shows.

His peditrician checked him for diabetes about six months ago. As a parent, I am very concerned it is possibly something more and the condition is being overlooked. What could all of this mean?
880900 tn?1467270141 m getting desperate from some kind of treatment because the symptoms of extreme fatigue, blurry vision, thirst, frequent urination, etc. are affecting my work and my ability to get to and from work (driving is dangerous due to the rapid onset of blurred vision). Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.
4274823 tn?1388529098 For instance, drinking too much water can actually cause dry mouth/extreme thirst (as noted in the article), which will, in turn, cause us to drink more, causing more frequent urination... BUT extreme thirst (and in turn, frequent urination) is a prime symptom of dangerously high blood sugar levels, which can cause coma and death, if not treated immediately. One should NEVER make the assumption that extreme thirst is either over or dehydration, since it may likely be neither.
Avatar m tn I have never known zinc to do anything like that. Zinc is a mineral that helps the skin and nerves get healthy. Check your diet - if you are eating too much sugar or carbs you might have frequent urination caused by hypoglycemia or pre-diabetes. Maybe you didn't pee often enough before and the zinc is healing your bladder... Are you drinking more water? You should in hot weather.
