I also have a dry mouth especially in the mornings. I drink throughout the day to keep myself hydrated and the dry mouth is not so bad. I thought it might be diabetes initially but am not experiencing any other symptoms like weight loss, or hunger etc. Unfortunately the dry mouth is causing ulcers and tooth pain maybe decay.
It causes very dry mouth. It is more common in women, but men can get it too. The frequent urination could be just because you're drinking so much trying to compensate for not having enough saliva. There are a few treatments available.
If they ruled out any direct physical cause you could ask if some of these problems could be from anti-cholinergic side effects of some medications (the same side effects that can cause blurred vision and dry mouth). If its fully determined to be from anxiety disorder try to track when it occurs and if it worsens during anxiety attacks and discuss what the best way to handle it is with your psychiatrist.
He put me on Detrol LA since it sounded like overactive bladder but if it helped, the extra water I was drinking from the dry mouth offset it. So I tried Sanctura XR which maybe helped a little, but not enough to justify its continued use. I've also be tested for diabetes and of course they've done several urinalyses. My mouth is also very dry often. Finally I am experiencing frequent but painless urination. I don't know if all of this is related. I read that frequent urination (due to UTI or anxiety) can cause lack of saliva and thus dry mouth which leads to infections and tooth decay. Has anyone else here experienced all of these symptoms in combination? I have been pretty stressed this past week so not sure if this is also contributing. Thanks very much.
Prostate exam revealed a normal sized prostate. Exams for all STDs were negative. This went on for about two years. Then the frequent urination was chronic (daily) but less severe in intensity. Ultrasounds revealed normal kidneys, bladder. Prostate still normal size. Tests for diabetes, diabetes insipidus, Potassium problems were negative. Urine and semen cultures revealed no bacteria; however, blood tests before getting married showed antibodies for chlamydia and herpes 2.

I have a history of frequent urination, which I just chalked up to all the water I drink (although, even if I avoided liquids in anticipation of a long dentist appt., for example, I still would go just as often). Lately, however, I have experienced some additional symptoms: Feeling of pressure in my bladder even after urinating (as if I'm not finished); waking up MUCH more often (4 times or more) to go to the bathroom at night.

We’ve know for many years that frequent bathroom trips at night are usually not due to bladder or prostate problems, but mostly due to breathing pauses that make you wake up and and think that you have to go. Numerous studies have shown that most men and women who have to go to the bathroom often at night or have overactive bladders during the day actually have sleep apnea.

He has been having frequent urination during the daytime. He has noted pain when voiding. Urine cultures for infection have been negative. An ultrasound of his kidneys were normal. Could my son be experiencing a "phase"? He is usually dry at night. When I say frequent I mean 15-17 times durind 7 to 8 hour.

I have always had a problem with frequent urination. I can urinate once and then 10 minutes later the urge will hit me again. I usually get up three times during the night and wake in the mornings with a very strong urge to go. I do not have any pain or burning when I urinate. This is getting to be a nusciance. I have never had a kidney or bladder infection. I have had one kidney stone a few months ago.

I don't know however if the frequent urination and dry mouth are due to anxiety. I have not lost or gained weight, I do suffer hunger pangs sometimes but not after eating. I know anxiety kills appetite, so maybe these two forces are counterbalancing each other. - Do these symptoms sound familiar to any of you? For example, does it sound like kidney infection or UTI - would I suffer persistent fever, rash, dry mouth, and tongue issues like candidaisis or other mouth infections?
She drinks plenty of water and eats Flint River Ranch light dry food for older cats. However, after she urinates (what looks like a decent stream), she gets back into the litter box several times within minutes acting like she still wants to urinate, but she's already emptied.
