My father is 72 and has had Type II diabetes for years. He has also had sleep apnea for years and years.
He now gets up 5 - 6 times per night to urinate. Because of this, he will not go in for apnea evaluation. He says that he won't be able to sleep anyways and will just have to unhook himself now if he gets a cpap - what a pain.
His sugar is under control ( most of the time), he is also on blood pressure and cholesterol meds.

I am a 22 years old male from india. I am suffering from frequent (day time) urination (around 12 times in daytime only, don't wake up from sleep to urinate ) for the last 6 years. I generally have to urinate in small amounts,I feel that I am emptying my bladder everytime . My urine flow also is normal, I take little time to start urinating as the amount of urine is not much. there is no urinary leakage , i feel my pelvic floor muscles are strong enough.
Hi, I am not on meds, using diet and exercise to control but in the last 2 months have experienced frequent urination, mostly at night, some tingling/burning in feet and hands, again at night. My AM test readings ( bf eating ) recently have been in the range of 70-80 which if correct would lead me to think this is an improvement. IF that is so, why would the burning start --- something I have had vy little of until now.
Go see a doctor and get tested. Frequent urination is one sign of type 2 diabetes. It also could be a sign of a disease you do not feel until more severe such as bladder or urinary tract infection, an enlarged prostrate if male, vaginitis if female, or possibly a tumor. Also comes to mind is from drinking excessive amounts of fluids.
I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!
I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I am 25 and recently, i started experiencing frequent urination. I had side pain for a day so i got urine test done and it came out normal. I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT!
Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.

Without examination confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but urge of frequent urination can be due to increased intake of fluids or diabetes mellitus.Other possibilities are glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys),urinary tract infection,hypercalcemia,hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism,hyperparathyroidism,diuretic drugs and benign hyperplasia of the prostate(in elderly males).
