I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.

i have been to the doctor already for my frequent urination and my urine was tested for a std came back ok no std he put me on some med to stop my frequent urination and helped for a while but stilll had that soreness this is driving me nuts any suggestions .I also have cut down on my sexual activities this also has helped but i am not sure what the hell is going on ------>.............
Sunday, was able to see another drop of discharge, by gently milking the penis, and slight discomfort at the tip at various times through the day. Today, frequent urge to urinate. Maybe a slight burning sensation during urination, although that may be psychosomatic. A standard STD panel is scheduled for tomorrow.
The question is whether excessive masturbation can cause urethritis, or with this exposure and timeframe, would it be more likely to be something like NGU?
About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin.
I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT!
Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
Frequent urination doesn't suggest STD of any kind. It is often a symptom of stress or anxiety, especially when the source of anxiety is concern about genital health. So I doubt you caught an STD, and I doubt anything is wrong except for anxiety. But if your symptoms persist, see your health care provider or your local STD clinic for examination and reassurance. You can expect that nothing abnormal will be found.
Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.
urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management.

hi, i have been experiencing frequent urination and got tested for uti. they said they didnt find any bacteria so does that mean i do not have to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea? i do not have discharge and i took all the antibiotics from cipro, oflox, and azythro. currently im taking oxybutynine hci for overactive bladder since i had a ultra sound and they found nothing. btw im 20 yrs old healthy male but all these symptoms appeared after my sexual encounter.. it should be a std right?
I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back.
The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Since this treatment, I have frequent urination about every other day, and my pee just drips after. Like a single clear drop on the tip of my penis. Maybe once every 2 wks there will be a slight clear sticky discharge, not a lot, after I ejaculate. 15 min or so later. Were my tests false negative. Could antibiotics or paranoia cause this? But a few hours later i started having frequent urination. No burning or discharge just frequent urination. The frequent urination has stopped but ive been squeezing my penis a few times a day to see if anything will come out and nothing comes out. I went for my yearly PAP. I was also having frequent urination, pelvic pain, and yellow discharge with no odor. And some mild vaginal itching. My wet mount had 25-30 wbc so I was tested for chlamydia, gonorrhea, bacterial vaginosis, yeast, and trichomonias. All were negative. While waiting for results to come back, I was told to take 1gm Zithromax. All symptoms went away, but then came back. I am married. My husband has not cheated. He has no symptoms. What can this be?
I do not have a problem with urination in general, as I am still able to urinate with no problems when I actually have to go (such as in the mornings when I wake up.) What could be causing this? I haven't had sex in well over a year and I've been tested for most everything (so had my ex) so I'm pretty confident that it is not an STD. About a week ago I had some minor chafing on my penis which was from dry masturbation but that has healed fully.
