I already know I have Herpes 2, but am not back in the US so I can get on medication. I have frequent nighttime urination which is caused by the Herpes 2 ( i had done a bacteria urine test and it was negative) . I just wondered, when I get on Valtrex will it take care of the frequent urination at night or do I need to get other medication for that? Anyone out there ever experience it.
I think a lot of persons come here for support, not just because they are worried they might be infected.
I am a 22 years old male from india. I am suffering from frequent (day time) urination (around 12 times in daytime only, don't wake up from sleep to urinate ) for the last 6 years. I generally have to urinate in small amounts,I feel that I am emptying my bladder everytime . My urine flow also is normal, I take little time to start urinating as the amount of urine is not much. there is no urinary leakage , i feel my pelvic floor muscles are strong enough.
urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management.

Interstitial cystitis, diuretics, overactive bladder syndrome, or urinary incontinence. It may help to avoid drinking too much before bedtime, especially caffeine or alcohol.

Since this treatment, I have frequent urination about every other day, and my pee just drips after. Like a single clear drop on the tip of my penis. Maybe once every 2 wks there will be a slight clear sticky discharge, not a lot, after I ejaculate. 15 min or so later. Were my tests false negative. Could antibiotics or paranoia cause this? Please help!

I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT!
Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
t it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. Since the last 5 days, i have been experiencing frequent urination. After i pass urine, i feel the urge to pass urine again after half hour or hour. Initially, there was slight burning when passing urine but not anymore. I got urine test done but it shows no infection. One month ago, i got digestive problems and acidity and doctor gave me Zantac for that and i was fine within a week. Now ocassionally, i experience acidity and burning in stomach so i avoid fried foods.
There is four years that i am having frequent problems with urination and the doctors seem to think it is all in my head. The frequent urination has stopped but ive been squeezing my penis a few times a day to see if anything will come out and nothing comes out. I have been having issues with bladder retention, hard to start urination, frequent urge, split urination stream, weak stream, frequent stops during urination, scrotum pain, pelvic pain, left arm and hand numbness lasting several minutes several times suring the day, dizziness after kneeling or bending over for short periods of time, occassional blurred vision. My urologist is repeating one last test, but he says everything is pointing to a neurological problem.

I took some antibiotics and it went away successfully. However I developed a frequent urination shortly after that. I went to quite a few doctors, I had analysis taken and everything came back negative. They prescribed a few times some strong antibiotics and it seemed to have helped. After that it started again, just the feeling that I have to urinate all the time and feeling that bladder is never empty. I went to doctor again. She took another analysis - it came back negative.
I do not have a problem with urination in general, as I am still able to urinate with no problems when I actually have to go (such as in the mornings when I wake up.) What could be causing this? I haven't had sex in well over a year and I've been tested for most everything (so had my ex) so I'm pretty confident that it is not an STD. About a week ago I had some minor chafing on my penis which was from dry masturbation but that has healed fully.

Thank you for taking the time to read. I'll try and keep this brief. For the last five/six years, I've had a recurring infection of Staphylococcus haemolyticus in my prostate, leading to prostate enlargement and inflammation and frequent urination. I've taken two rounds of antibiotics, but the problem has come back.
