Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

Avatar f tn I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back. The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Avatar f tn This is a real organic pain problem and is not in your head. Low back pain is very common and may be from strained back muscles, not a pinched nerve problem. Keep exercising, that is only a good thing. Other problems that can cause your symptoms include overactive bladder, a bladder tumor or stone in your ureter-- all less likely with the above history. I'm surprised your Urologist didn't evaluate you for IC.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar n tn There are several causes for frequent night urination in men, the most common being an enlarged prostrate and medication. Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.

Avatar m tn Within a week the frequent urination had stopped but the back pain continued. Now six weeks later the frequent urination has returned. I am concerned that this could be a STI as it occured within a week of having a protected sexual encounter. Any thoughts of what this might be?

Avatar m tn Pls consult a urologist and get these possibilities ruled out.Since you are having lower back pain also,so kidney disease is an important possibility. I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

Avatar n tn Ovarian cysts can cause irregular menstrual bleeding, lower abdominal pain, pain on urination and pelvic pain after sex.It is essential to rule out the above mentioned causes. Seek the opinion of a gynecologist. A complete examination and work up is important. Hope it helps. Best luck and regards!
Avatar m tn there is pain and pressure especially when i sit down and it causes frequent urination. it is here around 6 months. what is your diagnosis? Please see my problem at: http://sendvid.com/fvxy1e75 Thank you.
Avatar n tn Back pain can have many causes that are (or are not) related to frequent urination. Back pain can be caused by physical injury, years of poor posture, skeletal misalignment, or other physical defects. Back pain can also result from urinary tract infections that spread to the kidneys and cause pain there, however you don't mention pain during urination.

Avatar n tn I am a 22 years old male from india. I am suffering from frequent (day time) urination (around 12 times in daytime only, don't wake up from sleep to urinate ) for the last 6 years. I generally have to urinate in small amounts,I feel that I am emptying my bladder everytime . My urine flow also is normal, I take little time to start urinating as the amount of urine is not much. there is no urinary leakage , i feel my pelvic floor muscles are strong enough.
Avatar m tn Both me and my doctor have not seen any obvious herpes lesions. I should also note that at first the back pain was accompanied by frequent urination but that has gone away on its own. (I was tested for Gonorrhea and chlamydia and both were negative) Is it possible for the Herpes virus to be causing this nerve painfor this long without any lesion?
Avatar n tn Today - my frequent urination is gone, testes aren't sore anymore. I am going to the doctor.
Avatar f tn Since Christmas I have been experiencing back pain on the right side, frequent urination again and occasional lower right abdominal and pelvic pain. Am waiting for an ultrasound to determine whether I have a kidney stone or fibroidsa(due to occasional spotting after intercourse), however the last couple of days the abdominal pain has worsened and I now have an ammonia-like smell in my urine. Could the original thought of kidney stones be the right one??
