Avatar m tn I saw a question about frequent urination and stress. I wanted to add this comment. I was having severe frequent urination problems. I went to several doctors and even the Mayo Clinic. I was eventually diagnosed with "chronic prostatitis." Not wanting to give up because of the problems it was causing me, I looked at stress as the possible cause. I went to a psychologist for biofeedback training -- relaxation training -- and after 3 or 4 weeks my symptoms subsided.
Avatar m tn t it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. I apologize once again.
Avatar f tn Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Avatar f tn I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back. The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Avatar n tn About 2 yrs ago i had a burning sensation and other problems, i consulted a doctor and he found out i had a UTI, i took antibiotic Cipro and it improved considerably. After a short while i started having the urge to go to the bathroom a lot, most of the time only a little urine would come out. I had a check for kidney stones, there werent any. Ive seen a bunch of doctors, before my urine test used to have a little blood. Recently that has not been the case.
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.

Avatar n tn I have had symptoms of abdominal pain (dull in lower center and right) with nausea, vomiting, lethargy, chest tightness, left shoulder heated radiating pain, headaches, frequent urination. I was diagnosed with H pylori and have been on triple antibiotics- Amoxicillan, omeprazole, metronidazole. I am also on Sucralfate for acid control, promethazine for vomit control and Hydrocodone for pain control. Does this really sound like H.
Avatar m tn There are many possible causes for frequent urination. eg. Do you drink a fair amount of caffeine (coffee, tea or soda pop)? A urinary tract infection (UTI) would certainly do it. A bruised uretha could do it.
Avatar m tn It can also be UTI, but less likely if you do not get any symptoms during the day. Other causes include AIDS, cancer, infections in the body and side effect of certain drugs. It can also be due to severe acidity with H pylori infection and gastric reflux, hypoglycemia, carcinoid syndromes, and sleep disorders. At times cause cannot be found out.
Avatar m tn thanks man. I just had recent exposure, and 2 days later I felt a frequent urge. I didnt know if my mind was messing with me or not. I tried to research those lesser know stds to see if I was missing something, but I wasn't sure. I felt 2 days was a little too soon, but me personally...i never know.
Avatar f tn I've had frequent urination from the middle of my first trimester and it has actually gotten worse. I would ensure you drink lots of fluids because I also just had a UTI which can be a pain in the butt.

Avatar m tn Now there was frequent urination, and a leaking of urine that progressed into what looks like semen. I had another test done that I paid for that came back negative as well. One day I worked 20 hrs straight. Towards the end I began to feel abnormal sensitivity at the tip of my penis. There was waht appeared to be a bruise that wa slight elevated near the tip. I went to the doctor immediately and she did a urine analysis that came back negative for any kind of bacteria.
Avatar f tn I suggest you to get your complete urine examination and urine culture doen. If the symptoms persist then other possibilities like glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis(inflammation of the kidneys), hypercalcemia, hypokalemia(low potassium),hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism and diuretic drugs have to be ruled out.
Avatar f tn I have no other symptoms, except like you I do have frequent urination. I feel fine, have no pain or pressure and my only complaint is the frequent urination, although I'm on a high fiber diet and drink 80 ounces of water a day, so I'd expect to have frequent urination. Avatar n tn I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong. I did not mention the frequent urination to my urologist as my symptoms had cleared up for over a week and I just assumed maybe it was stress enduced. Should I be concerned?
393893 tn?1283551230 Hi, I am no doctor but Ive recently been diagnosed with UTI and then prostatitis. I just wanted to tell you that you dont necessarily experience pain when urinating nor do you necessarily have to urinate blood for it to be a UTI. In any case, I believe prostatitis and UTI's have symptoms that are very common and if your husband gets himself checked its always positive because whatever it is it seems to be just the beginning. Hope this helps until the doctors give you their advice.
