Some women don't at all.. I didn't at all with my previous pregnancy til the last trimester, this pregnancy it was one of my first symptoms, so it varies. Usually the last trimester or end of the 2nd is when your uterus really starts weighing on your bladder.

You also urinate alot if the detrusor muscle is overactive, or you suffer with diabetes,etc. My first guess is this could be preostrate related, and your boyfriend needs to go and have this checked out, with an Urologist, a consultant.

Certain tests may need to be done to have these differentials excluded. A baseline urinalysis and urine culture, urodynamic studies, and CT scan of the kidney, ureter and bladder may help. I suggest a consult with a urologist to at least rule out an underlying urinary tract infection.

Does anyone else feel they have to urinate more than normal. ...it's so embarrassing but don't even get good night sleep bcz I wake up 4-5 tines every night and sometimes even more. Is it normal or should I contact my doctor. I am only 7 week pregnant.

m about 10 weeks along and wake up at least 2 sometimes 3 times a night to urinate. Everyone is different but more frequent urination is normal. It helps if you drink your fluids frequently throughout the day instead of right before bedtime!

I've had frequent urination since it started in the first trimester. Im in the first week of my third. It never went away. Somedays was better than others. My doctor said his favorite spot to lay is on my bladder.

I initially suspected diabetes and tried a diet, leading to very low blood sugar, especially since I am an active person. Thing is this has kind of happened before (well not so much at night!) but I have IBD and when its bad I have in the past got bad pains in my sides at the back and going to the loo more in the day, I was tested several times for UTIs and they thought it was that and i was put on 4 different courses of antibitoics but they never bothered to check the lab results for the urine sample which always came back clear with nothing to culture.

I was in the middle of my Masters degree when this all unfolded in front of me. I lie awake at night for hours, combing thru studies and information, trying to save someone! I also have bladder issues as well, in fact I have had 2 uti's and bladder infections from having to go so much in the last year. I am exhausted from having to go so much. I'm up all night long in and out of the restroom. I'd really like a bed pan. As soon as I stand up, I have the urge again. I am starting to think it is Chiari related. I actually had ultrasounds done to have a look at my bladder and all is fine.

I have frequent problems with urination. Difficulty in getting the muscles to relax, urgency (when it's time to go, I gotta go - or I'm going to have an accident.) And today I coughed and wet my pants! I think that's known as stress incontinence - but I haven't had any kids, so I'm blaming it on muscle weakness. Some of my symptoms have stuck around, some have gone away... so it's really just a case of wait and see.

The doctor ususally say that at 80, with insomnia, you do more frequent urination. Sombody suggested, at every 10 years after 60, you do add one extra visit two bath room. Any way we have to fight whether it is age related or some alignment related. I have also observed when i am tense, I have more frequent visit to bathroom. I'm a 17 year old male. Backstory: Last Tuesday (dec 29th) I felt like I had to urinate frequently. I'd go, and possibly 5-10 minutes later I'd feel like I had to go again. Not a lot, mind you. Also, it is surprising that a drug used to get sound sleep could produce just the opposite effect.
