Common Questions and Answers about Frequent urination and back pain

frequent-urination

Avatar f tn Hello im 16 years old and latley i have been having some lower back pain and i get sharp pains in my abdominal area also i frequently have the urge to urinate.
Avatar f tn This is a real organic pain problem and is not in your head. Low back pain is very common and may be from strained back muscles, not a pinched nerve problem. Keep exercising, that is only a good thing. Other problems that can cause your symptoms include overactive bladder, a bladder tumor or stone in your ureter-- all less likely with the above history. I'm surprised your Urologist didn't evaluate you for IC.
Avatar n tn I did follow up with a urologist last week in regards to the testicle pain. He examined me and seemed to think I was fine and just needed some time. Now again, for the past 3 days I have felt this urge to urinate frequently. This started after I saw the urologist. I am not sure if it is just me stressing out over nothing or if I may have something else wrong.
Avatar f tn About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..
Avatar m tn There are many things that can cause frequent urination and a urologist is the one to help you rule out what is causing your symptoms etc. You could just have an over active bladder and they have several medications for that. It also could be chronic cystitis or interstitial cystitis. With these you usually have pelvic pain too. The self help things etc. can help you while you see a diagnosis!
Avatar m tn i am having sometime very mild burning sensation and pain and both the upper part on stomach. sometimes on my left back side . can anyone help me rid off this ?
Avatar m tn Within a week the frequent urination had stopped but the back pain continued. Now six weeks later the frequent urination has returned. I am concerned that this could be a STI as it occured within a week of having a protected sexual encounter. Any thoughts of what this might be?

Avatar m tn I suffer from frequent urination between 2am and 6 in the morning. This happens every half hour, lots of urine, no burning, no pain.I have had blood tests, cystoscopy and an IVP done, all came back negative. I don;t drink a lot since i never get thirsty, a cup of tea in the morning and a glass of water for my blood pressure tablets. I'm not swollen but 2yrs ago i had a back op for a pinched nerve, could this be the cause? Please help!
1250698 tn?1371351279 Ok, so "frequent" doesn't begin to describe it. Within 2 hours, I went 5 times! I had a weird period from 6/27 to 6/29 and I've been spotting since. There was hardly any pink or red blood; it was mostly all brown...even the spotting is brown. I wouldn't be so concerned about this except that 1) I never spot this long after a period. It's usually a light flow in the beginning of the day and by the end of the day, I'm spotting or doing nothing at all.
Avatar m tn I am working in the UK and going back to my country after 25 days. Please can somebody tell me if I can get help from my GP and wait for 25 days.
393893 tn?1283551230 t think he has a bladder infection because there is no pain involved and when he feels like he has to go a significant or normal amount comes out. I know with bladder infections there is pain and alot of the time when you feel like you have to go and try, either nothing comes out or only a few drops. I've posted this in the Men's Health forum as well so sorry if you've already read this. He is wondering if he should get his prostate checked? Thank you in advance for any help!

Avatar m tn urinary tract infection, interstitial cystitis, intake of diuretics and other medications, radiation therapy or bladder dysfunction. It would really help if you consult with the urologist for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
Avatar m tn It feels like a really dull sharp pain or a kind of pressure pain. It comes and goes and usually lasts for 5-10 minutes at a time. I do not cringe in pain from it, but it is annoying.
Avatar m tn There are many things that can cause frequent urination. Do you have pain with your frequency? I have Interstitial cystitis an inflammatory bladder disease. This can cause frequency but also has pain. However for us, foods can effect our symptoms. I suggest you watch acidic foods, avoid coffee, alcohol, soda, caffeine, chocolate, cranberries etc. I can give you some food lists for those of us with bladder issues if you pm me, but those are the big ones. Hope that helps!
Avatar f tn ve been experiencing severe anxiety and depression, memory loss, brain fog, confusion, extreme irritability, very heavy periods and terrible cramps despite going on birth control to help regulate my periods, constant fatigue and exhaustion, muscle and joint pain, aches, and weakness, heart palpitations, excessive sweating and heat intolerance, GERD and stomach issues, trouble sleeping, weight gain (probably about 30lbs in the last eight months or so), eye issues, tightness in my throat, trouble
Avatar f tn I had the worst excessive urination from low potassium. I lived in the toilet and was getting splits on my skin down there from constantly using toilet paper. I was using Savlon cream to relieve the pain. The relief of orange juice! High in potassium. Went from excessive urination to normal OVERNIGHT! Low potassium causes dry skin too btw.
1038969 tn?1269496039 There is no burning. stream is thin. At morning have a pain in bladder and back...and have to rush to toilet. Some times i use to have back pain but not all the time. yes i have very recently feeling that there is weakness ...in legs....but i guessed its due to regular sex .(got married 8 mts back.) I drink less water as drinking water makes me visit toilet ..Had tested for blood sugar, a year back and every thing was fine. Blood pressure is also OK, tested 3 months back.
Avatar m tn hi i started to get sharp nipping pains in the tip of my penis and frequent urination. i went to my doctor and they gave me 4x 250mg of azithromycin. the symptoms started to go after 3 days however i am now 5 days post treatment and still have the pain in the tip. my question is is this normal? my doc said symptoms should have passed after 3 days but now i am worried it may be something else?
Avatar f tn The baby might be in a position where he is putting a lot of pressure on your bladder. As long as you aren't having any pain when you go and you're able to actually go when you feel like you need to, I'd say you're fine.
