304970 tn?1331425994 I THINK (so not sure) it was natesmomma that originally posted the link about the pregnancy journal that was free and all you had to pay was the $3.99 shipping and handling? Well.. I ordered it and still haven't received it? I was wondering if anyone else ordered it and if so, how long did it take to receive? Thanks!

Avatar n tn I have attempted the gym, kepts logs of what I eat, tried over the counter diet pills but currently am almost 50lbs over weight. (prior to my hysterectomy was at a normal weight). When I bring up to my doctor she states that it has nothing to do with my hysterectomy, I have been tested for thyroid and it is at normal levels. Does anyone have any ideas, at this point I do not know what else to do.
Avatar n tn There are several websites on which you can keep a food journal or even just start a journal here on MedHelp; I also understand that MedHelp is coming out with a food journal in the near future... Make sure you get plenty of exercise - it will not only help burn calories, but it will help give you more energy. Good luck and keep posting.
1337734 tn?1336234591 Terry Wahls clains to have put her MS to sleep using diet. The keys to her specific diet are typically available for sale on her web site. THis always makes me leary. Our bodies are at war, albeit with themselves. The stronger we can make our bodies, the more able they will be to fight the fight. THis includes a well balanced diet.
Male My doctor has told me I need to move to a gluten-free diet....yikes!!! All my life (and that is a very long time--ha ha) I have generally eaten whatever I wanted to eat. This change to a GF diet seems like such a huge mountain to climb. I know there are many others who have had to change to a GF diet after a lifetime of eating what they wanted with little or no restrictions. How does a person even get started on a change like this? What do you do when you go out to eat at a restaurant?
1156486 tn?1262394803 I will start a Iodine free diet next week in preparation for my Iodine131 treatment (for Jan. 21st) and would like to find the thyca cookbook. I did not see it on the thyca wedsite. I want to make sure that I do everything possible to insure good results from the treatment so I would appreciate finding recipes. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Is it possible/ recommended to do a gluten free diet crossed with a calorie controlled diet? I was thinking of cutting carbs also but if I have to have them they have to be gluten free? Is that recommended ? Or is there any other way to do it?
Avatar n tn Adam Drewnowski and Allen S. Levine write in the "Journal of Nutrition" that added sugar and fat make up more than 50 percent of the typical American diet and contributes to the obesity epidemic. Craving sweets after a meal can hamper weight loss efforts. You try to deny the craving, only making it more pronounced. If you indulge the craving, stopping with a small serving may be impossible for you.

1539379 tn?1294332115 lactose free diet, gluten free diet, or low-fiber diet. For the lactose free diet I would recommend doing it 100% for 2 weeks. For the gluten free diet I would recommend doing it 100% for 2 months. Let me know how these go.

Avatar f tn A friend of mine had heartburn as her only symptom. It took months on a gluten-free diet, but she got better.
Avatar f tn I follow a gluten free diet. I have celiac disease. So far it hasn't been easy. I used to pretty much live on tuna fish and lunch meat and now I can't have either. I'm afraid I won't get the nutrients my baby and myself need but I am trying. Luckily many grocery stores around me carry gluten free foods and there is a strict gluten free/dairy free/vegan bakery close by if I get a sweet tooth.
Avatar n tn Sounds like it might be eczema- have you had a doctor take a look? You may switch your soaps/moisturizers to something that is fragrance free for starters. You might also keep an eye on your diet- sometimes certain foods can set off eczema out breaks. I always recommend keeping a journal of when you see them and what you have eaten or the products you have used. Also, you can use aloe vera or similar moisturizer on the patches to help.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know how long you're supposed to wait before bringing back "trigger" foods into your diet. My doctor said I can do it by the end of this month, but I am a bit nervous because I don't know how to go about doing this. I know I'm not supposed to bring them all back at once but do I just eat a trigger food then wait a few days? I don't get it. I am concerned that if I even eat one trigger food, my esophagus will swell up again.
Avatar f tn Your diet can also dehydrate you. My doctor shares test results with my every appt. She logs into my file and reads my results.
Avatar n tn t be fooled by sugar free food items ~ they may be sugar free, however they are probably NOT carbohydrate free and that's the important ingredient for both type 1's and type 2's. As far as "free foods", veggies (other than corn or potatoes), cheeses, peanut butter, meats are some foods that are free of carbs and can be eaten freely as long as they aren't heavy in calories and fat.
Avatar m tn Hi...u do have to modify ur diet along with taking meds in order to help the meds work faster...if u continue to eat foods that trigger ur reflux it will take the meds longer to work, or for u to feel their effects. Keeping a journal as to what u eat and how u feel can help u determine if something other then reflux is going on such as the above posted mentions.
