Formoterol solubility

Common Questions and Answers about Formoterol solubility

symbicort

746512 tn?1388807580 Symbicort for example includes both Pulmicort, as well as an LABA called Formoterol. Another example is Advair (Flovent/Salmeterol). I would definitely recommend seeing your Pulmonary Specialist.
Avatar f tn There are many philosophies, but one protocol suggests albuterol should be used first and ipratropium five minutes later. Try the foradil (formoterol fumarate inhalation power). It too is expensive, but the company provides free samples.
Avatar n tn You and he/she will have to resort to other preparations, to include a different inhaled steroid, such as Flovent® HFA Inhalation Aerosol (fluticasone propionate), either alone or in combination with a long-acting bronchodilator, like Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate) or Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder), such a combination being either Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol or Symbicort® (budesonide/formoterol fumarat
Avatar m tn They include salmeterol (brand name Serevent) and formoterol (brand name Atimos). Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.
Avatar n tn Does Symbicort 80/4.5 (budesonide 80 mcg and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 mcg) Inhalation Aerosol effect the eyes? Does it raise the interocular pressure if used with known glaucoma? This discussion is related to Borderline Glaucoma and Steroids.
Avatar m tn Methadone has a slow metabolism and very high fat solubility, making it longer lasting than morphine-based drugs. Methadone has a typical elimination half-life of 15 to 60 hours with an average of i would say about 22. However, metabolism rates vary greatly between individuals, up to a factor of 100 ranging from as few as 4 hours to as many as 130 hours, or even 190 hours. So it's hard to say.
Avatar n tn This would include a long-acting bronchodilator, such as Serevent® Inhalation Aerosol (salmeterol xinafoate), Foradil® Aerolizer™ (formoterol fumarate inhalation powder) or Spiriva® HandiHaler® (tiotropium bromide inhalation powder) along with an inhaled steroid. Another potentially helpful, oral medicine is called theophylline. Your doctor may also want to prescribe this. You should have your blood oxygen level checked, in case it is low and you would need supplemental oxygen.
Avatar m tn The water solubility of bilirubin allows the bilirubin to be excreted into bile. (Bile then is used to digest fats.) Total bilirubin, if I remember correctly, is the conjugated hemoglobin, since there is also another portion that is not conjugated. What the elevated total bilirubin means at this point is 'something' is going on, but you may need more information before your doc can determine the cause.
Avatar m tn I was also taking anti-fungals having developed thrush from probably formoterol fumarate inhalers. I am also dealing with ringworm. Nothing grew from the cultures taken from blood, sputum, or a specimen from endoscopy. The pneumonia abated and while at home I felt remarkably better. Then my girlfriend noticed my hair was falling out at an alarming rate. While looking at the hair in my hand I noticed my fingernails had no cuticles! Feet are also affected.
Avatar f tn If you are really insistent about cheating death I would suggest you have your physician prescribe formoterol fumarate inhalation powder. It is sold as the "foradil aerolizer". It is long acting, and an alternative to oral steroids. It should settle down your lungs for a good three to four hours after use.
Avatar m tn Initially it started with allergies, then asthma.....initial days my ventolin and formoterol inhalers were working, but last 3 years it is not helping much... I checked FEV which is 68% of predicted...but no significant increase in FEV1 after bronchodialator.... Every day I feel little tightnes, even if I take symbicort...daily moring and evening..... saw pulmonologyst 5 months back, he suggested to continue with the same+singulair.... Feeling very desprate....please help with some suggestions.
Avatar m tn The main requirements for them are (1) high IFN-inducing activity, (2) absence of side effects, (3) wide spectrum of antimicrobial activity, (4) broad therapeutic security and, (5) good solubility in water and biologic liquids. IFN inducers stimulate IFN production in different cells and organs, and that determines the strategy for their application. Amixin (OOO "Lancepharm," Moscow, Russia) induces IFN-?/? production mostly in T cells. Cycloferon (NTFF "Polysan," St.
Avatar n tn However, factors that can affect absorption include oral pH, salivary enzymes, lipid solubility, and molecular weight (molecules may be too large to pass through the mucous membranes). A sublingual product, specifically created to ensure effective absorption, is recommended.
Avatar n tn You should have another follow-up x-ray, now. The prescription of Symbicort® (budesonide/formoterol fumarate dehydrate) Inhalation Aerosol does not mean you have asthma. It only means that your doctor suspects that you might have it. Given that it is now nearly 4 months since the bout of pneumonia, you deserve further diagnostic evaluation by a lung specialist.
Avatar m tn I went to a doc who said it was probably asthma and prescribed formoterol/budesonide and montelukast sodium. A few months later, my bedroom was treated for termite infestation, the fumes of which I presumed cleared up after about 4 days. After returning to my bedroom for a few nights, I woke up in a panic with severe SOB.
Avatar n tn I am going to recommend you save up your pennies and get some Foradil (formoterol fumerate inhalation powder). It is VERY expensive, but the 12mcg packets work almost immediately and are more effective than the albuterol sulfate. The Foradil will last for a long time. It will save you a hospital bill on a bad day. The albuterol suflate is short-acting. The steroidal inhalers do NOT work immediately.
Avatar m tn t really make a diagnosis and prescribed me with some sort of nasal spray, insisted that I take anti-histamine to rule out allergies, and also prescribed me Symbicort, Budesonide/formoterol. After 10 days treatment, the breathing issues became agitated. The last doctor suggested referral to a specialist, I'm not entirely sure of which one, something to do with throat and breathing.
Avatar m tn One of the newer medications I like is Foradil, in an aerosolizer (formoterol fumerate inhalation powder). The down side is, it is pretty expensive. It comes in little 12 mcg packets in the U.S., and is very long lasting. It has a number of downsides, and I suggest you read the PDR carefully to review those side effects, including elevation of blood pressure. The other issue is that asthma is often connected with long-standing encapsulated bacterial infections.
Avatar n tn (By the way, although losartan is currently being researched in Johns Hopkins clinical trials, other ARBs such as telmisartan are probably most effective given their increased lipid solubility and thus increased tissue penetration.) I strongly encourage you to visit www.marfanlife.net and find the very lengthy thread titled "Losartan" or something to that effect. Probably some of the most important reading of your life.
Avatar f tn Some medications have both a steroid plus formoterol. My feeling is to try the formoterol fumarate alone, and see if that solves the problem before going to the dual-medication formulas.
Avatar m tn the brain is affected quickly as alcohol will cross what is called the blood-brain barrier due to its solubility. this can compromise involuntary actions such as heartbeat, breathing and gag reflex. organs such as the liver and pancreas can suffer tissue destruction resulting in everything from lowered function and scarring to complete organ failure. for diagnosing existing damage, your doctor can order bloodwork including a liver panel to check things like enzyme levels.
