I cant seem to wear shoes that will snug around the top of my foot too much or my foot will come out alittle more swollen on top. I still have the bump but at the moment there isnt really any pain. I havent tried messing with it lately either.
Well, i just came home from school a few hours ago, and saw my bird had a swollen and red foot, with the top most nail missing. It is "leaking" out water, or so it seems. I watched him for about an hour and noticed he would try and hide or tuck it in. There was also a lot of water on the section above the leg. I don't know if it was caused by trauma or something like that. But if you could please tell me if there is anything life-threatening about this.
Dear Dr. Do: My left foot was swollen for the past full month. It start from no apparent reason, then slowly spread to all joints of my foot, top and bottom (sole). My uric acid level is 6.8 and I was prescribed Colchicine 0.6 mg. The swollen reduced to about 50%. X-ray revealed no fracture and my podiatrist gave two injections of Cortisone. My foot was almost cured for two days, then the swollen came back (about 30%). The MRI revealed nothing but swollen.

For 5 days now i have had pain on the top of my foot. It is only provoked my certain activities such as walking fast, going down hills, and touching the area. It doesn't hurt when i run or just walking around. The area on my foot is a little bit swollen and the swelling and pain gets worse at night and better only with rest. I have tried figuring out what could be wrong, but i really have no idea. Do you have an idea of what is wrong and what i can do to help it get better?
My foot along with numbness had/has a burning sensation to light touch on the top. Unfortunately aboout 2 weeks ago I injured the top of that foot by dropping a heavy chair on it. fyi I am also on cumadin for a heart condition that is under control. The foot hurt so badly that I had it x-rayed a few day later. It was not broken, but bruised to the point of a hematoma. Later, the very day of the x-ray I accidentally dropped a desk phone within a inch or so of the orginal impact.
When playing volleyball, an opponent landed squarely on top of my foot. I have mild pain and a popping feeling between big toe and next toe, about 2" from the bottom of the toes. I can walk, but it forces me to limp. No discoloration, no swelling (or so little I can't tell). This was 2 days ago. I played with no pain right afterwards. Went home, no pain. Woke up the next morning with the pain and the popping sensation. What treatment(s) are needed?
I have a spongy swelling on the top of my left foot. It cover from the base of my great toe and the next toe and extends upward about halfway to ankle. It took 3 surgeries on my great toe before and adequate fusion -had hallux rigidis. The spongy swelling was there before the sugeries but gave no problem and MD never said anything about it. It has been 11/2 yrs since dthe last surgery. Over the last several weeks the swollen area has become very painful when I walk.
Now my right foot is swollen still two days later. The pain is on the top of my right foot on the inner side. No bruise but very discomforting. Sometimes, I can not put any weight on it and the pain is unbearable. A red color bout the size of a half dollar piece is visible and the skin is very warm to the touch. Any suggestions of what this may be?
while I did it to my left foot I noticed the bruise that covered almost the whole top of my foot. It was also swollen. I had done nothing to it that I know of. I have herniated discs in my back so part of the foot is numb but I see no harm on the foot what could cause this. My dil told me ice and raise above your heart I did that the swelling went down but the bruise is still there. What caused this. I was sitting on my foot partly while pulling weeds.

My husband is 38 years old and was diagnosed with MS about 7 years ago, he has had so many different things appear in the last 7 years and one thing thats a bother to me and him is that his right leg is very stiff and to top it of with his right foot and ankle swell up to look or have a shape of a football. The doctors have given him meds that wont help. They have done xrays, doublers, checked his heart and still no findings.
My husband's right foot is swollen and very painful. All medical test show nothing, no infection, no vascular problems, no nerve problems, All the doctors we have seen are baffled. I can send a picture if need be. The blood veins on top of his foot are breaking and bleeding. He says the pain is most severe on the ball of his foot. It started with his big toe, spread to the next three, now it is his whole foot. It is not gout, or lymphedema. He has done everything but an MRI.

A few weeks ago my friend wore his new pair of shoes to work were he is on his feet all day. Within the next few days he got a weird itchy rash and blisters on the top of his foot. The shoes were from somewhere like Platos Closet meaning they were previously owned so we were thinking it might be athletes foot.
Hi, I slipped and fell over a week ago and directly after the fall I had a huge hematoma form on the top of my right foot. (It was twisted behind me when I fell) I went to the ER the next evening after Icing it all night and day and elevating it in hopes of reducing the swelling and hematoma. The ER doc said it wasn't broken, just sprained, gave me some 800 mg motrins and sent me home. It's over a week old now and the swelling hasn't gone down and the bruise is more diffuse.
On that Saturday, I woke up and noticed that the top of my right foot was swollen. I didn't notice anything unusual, no cuts or bruises. Then Sunday, I woke up to find my foot even more swollen and my ankle swelling as well, as well as the ankle turned a bright redish/purple. This occurred while I was sleeping. I went in to see my primary and he couldn't figure it out. He started with gout, but I've had that before and have no pain.
Last night, when trying to sit cross-legged, I noticed a swollen area on the top/right side of my right foot. It is not painful or uncomfortable, even when pressed on. I have a family history of both heart disease and diabetes and I'm worried this swelling could be somehow related.

I have had cramps on my left foot after i did some running a little over a week ago. I stopped working out and it seems like it was getting better although it was painful to walk. But then, i woke up this morning with a swollen left foot and was wondering what that means. I can't hardly walk now and the pain "cramps" was initially in the middle top side of my left foot.
In the morning it is okay but by middle afternoon the top of the foot is swollen and very sore as well as the toes. What could it be?
I dropped a wooden clipboard (with the metal part on top) onto my foot (accidentally of course) yesterday evening, at first there was a very blue bruise but it was small and Idk if it was swollen, and the shock from dropping it went on for 10-15 min. (thats pretty long) so I just rested it and watched a show, then went to sleep. This morning I was sitting on the floor to get something and the top of my foot touched the floor, and the pain was excruciating.
