Avatar n tn I rolled my left foot in a hole while running in July '09. I have had pain in the left side of my foot in the heel area. I can apply pressure massaging the heel area and feel a sharp pain. I had mornings where my first step out of bed was agonizing pain. The more I walked the more it hurt. I have used ice/heat/ibuprofen and nothing has helped. I started wearing my running shoe to bed on my left foot. I believe it has kept my foot straight at night and allows for healing.

My question is...
Avatar n tn have you mentioned this foot ankle pain to the Neuro before? 338416 tn?1420045702 s quite foot drop yet, but I certainly have to *think* about lifting my foot up. They make a foot brace that would hold my foot up, but it's plastic and clunky. I don't think I would have started running again if it wasn't for the weight. I get so frustrated, because I'm really trying to restrict my calories, and it doesn't do a bit of good. Working out on the trainer was exercise, but it just wasn't enough. I'm starting to wonder if I have a thyroid problem.
Avatar m tn m not an anatomy expert but it seems to be in the lower area of the Flexor Digitorum Longus, on the tibia side. The pain is rstricted to above the ankle, and there is no pain on the sole of my foot or my toes. It usually begins the day after a run and lasts up to a few days. In those days afterwards, even walking 30-40 minutes can flare it up. . A run with a very steep hill seems to be a guarantee to bring the symptoms on.

Avatar n tn I am having a pain on the bottom outside edge of my foot. It feels like a bruise but has been there for a while. I am a runner and assume this is a training injury. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn I like to stay active so I try to go walking and running in town. Halfway back from my walk it hurt unbelievably bad. My hips would not stop popping. I noticed that if I even push down on my hips it feels extremely painful. This only happens when I walk, run, or even ride horse. I don't have any clue of whats causing it and can't decide if I need to go to the doctor for it. Please help!
Avatar m tn Patients with Achilles tendonitis usually experience the most significant pain after periods of inactivity.Patients will also experience pain while participating in activities, such as when running or jumping. Achilles tendonitis pain associated with exercise is most significant when pushing off or jumping. Arch pain early in the morning is due to the plantar fascia becoming contracted and tight as you sleep through the night. X-RAYS and MRI help in making diagnosis.
Avatar n tn Any workout should be started with a slow warm-up for four to five minutes, followed a very gradual increase in speed. While running, one should take deep breaths. If pain actually starts, stretching, massaging, taking deep breaths may be tried. Ref: http://sportsmedicine.about.com/cs/injuries/a/aa053100a.htm http://www.rice.edu/~jenky/sports/abd.pain.
Avatar n tn ME TOO.. I am 25 year old female... and I don't want to stop running, I've been having pain like this for years. I had to stop running because if I run my stomach hurts for the entire day and sometimes it lasts two days... It just keeps getting worse...
Avatar n tn Many years ago while playing softball I jumped and pulled a groin muscle. It felt and was diagnosed as a hernia. But it was not. It turned out to be a pulked tendon in the groin. I had tremmendous pain and it took months for it to heal. This could be your similar problem. They are difficult to diagnose and takes a long time of careful walking to heal. Good luck.
Avatar m tn Is back pain from walking or running everyday normal and if not how can i stop the pain because sometimes when i walk Ok r run my lower and upper back starts to hurt
Avatar f tn I have this leg pain running down my left leg since a few days...I am 28 weeks , its not severe pain but it hurts while walking as if my hips are locked or something...
Avatar n tn As I started training I have noticed a little foot pain on the bottom of foot which was just caused a little soreness however as I completed my longest run of 12 miles on Saturday and the next day I couldn't put pressure on my foot without it hurting nor could I manage to walk for a standard period of time. Today is Wednesday and I still feel a little discomfort in walking but not nearly as severe as Sundays pain.
Avatar m tn I'm a runner and recently got a pain on top of foot, as if my laces were too tight 9they may have been!) recently been doing a lot of off road running on uneven hard surface. it seems to be in the Extensor Hallucis Brevis area and there is a squashy lump the size of a smallish coin in that area, which isn't really painful to touch. If I loosen my laces in that area I can walk and do a bit of running without too much discomfort.
Avatar f tn I woke up about 5am this morning with a sharp pain in my toe next to the pinky toes . The pain is so severe i screamed out in pain. About 2 weeks ago i did purchase new running shoes but i havent tested them out at the gym yet. Ive been wearing them everyday at work though. The pain occurs every 5 mins and just as painful as the first time. My foot seems normal no swelling or discoloration. Please help.
Avatar f tn My daughter, 14, has a knot on the outside of her ankle just above the knobby bone and on the top of her foot. She hurt these two areas at separate times while running. She is a softball player and runs track. We had both areas x-rayed and the x-rays did not show a fracture in either area. We have applied ice and heat and also given her anti-inflamatory medicine for 8 weeks. She tried jogging again and it is hurting again and seems to be worse. I have made an appointment with a podiatrist.
Avatar f tn I have been told I have an odd gait when both running and walking. My friend said when I walk it looks like I am throwing one foot in front of the other. When I walk, I often experience pain in my hip area, in the soles of my feet, or my knees. In addition to this, often my ankles will twist on their own, causing me to fall..... What is wrong with my legs? I have suspected that my issues may be because one of my legs is longer than the other (something I learned while being fitted for pants).
Avatar f tn I have been suffering with debilitating foot pain for almost two years. First diagnose was Plantar Fasciitis and I was treated with injections and a walker boot and also PT. Six months later I was diagnosed with fractures in both heels and have been in two casts, crutches and another walking boot. I am still in pain! I just had an MRI that shows Marrow Edema in four bones of my foot. What does this mean? I do not see the Dr. again for two weeks!
