Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain veins

foot

Avatar n tn She says when she stands or sits for any length of time, her foot hurts and she must lay down to relieve the pain. The doctor said this is typical because of blood rushing to the foot and recommended putting the support sock on. Has anyone else experienced this? Everyone is impressed with her flexibility and she's doing her exercises regularly but this pain has really gotten her concerned and regrets getting the surgery. How long can she expect this pain to stay? Thank you.
Avatar f tn To describe the pain is like someone stepping on the top of your foot, but never getting off. Now the swelling seems to be top of foot, toes, ankle and the pain radiates through my leg. I had another x-ray done last week, still nothing wrong, had blood test done, white count was elevated slightly. Went to doctors again and was told it was gout, even though now I have numbness in both hands to go with it and the pain not just my foot, but my leg too.
Avatar m tn My legs and feet swell during the day and I elavate my legs and feet at night due to sevier vericose veins. I had surgery to close off the outer veins but the main veins in both legs are diseased as well. My feet throb and the bottom of my feet are always in pain. Is this due to my legs or can it be attributed to some other foot problems?

Avatar n tn Yes this is normal, as the cast compressed your arteries and your superficial veins. The veins pumping out the blood to the heart against the gravity from feet is very difficult. So after removing the cast it takes some time in restoring of superficial circulation in the foot. But if it does not decrease then you may have some infection or allergy, for which you have to visit a skin specialist. Take care! Take care!
Avatar n tn t have any discoloration of my foot, just alot of pain for a couple of years. I have stents in my RCA also, so I would get another opinion. Good luck!
Avatar f tn The toes on my right foot turn really, really red and the veins in that foot stand up really badly and my foot feels swollen. This started about two months ago. The onset was very sudden and painful. This may be lengthy but I'll try and explain; In mid June my calves in both legs were aching badly for no apparent reason. Then I started to get muscle twitching in my calves and feet. The twitching then went up my legs to my thighs, then to my arms.
Avatar m tn One in the lower leg muslce and the other on the interior right side of leg. No visible sign of knots but some pain when touched or rubbed.
Avatar f tn I have numerous sclerotic veins. First MRI showed three, then a new one said several new ones in the frontal lobe. My Neurologist does not say that I have MS for a lack of symptoms. Just recently I have started having what I thought was just cold feet that hurt. Well it keeps me semi awake. Today I gave up after just three hours of tossing and realized that only my Right foot was cold. I have back problems so maybe it's associated with that.
Avatar n tn I have been having tooth pain on my right side for a few weeks now, I am sure it is a cavity. At about the same time I got the pain in my tooth my right eye became weird. The veins are all red and bulged and it is heavy like when a hand or foot gets numbed from sitting on or standing on. Sometimes it feels like its not even there like that side of my face is missing. The weird feeling is always there but the redness of the veins changes, from dark red to lighter shade of red.
Avatar m tn The thing that makes it worse in I have suffered with varicose veins in my legs which I have had treated but they seem to be coming back very quickly and I’m sure the dilation of my leg veins is accelerating this. If I am calm and feeling good I get no pain in my legs and feet but if I’m worked up I get pains in the arch of my foot and inside of my ankle below the bone, I also get a sensation in my feet of having things in my shoe mildly pressing in to my foot.

Then my feet will ferl tight like if u squeese your wrist cut off blood flow and your veins are more visiable. My feet get like tthat.
Avatar m tn I also have been short of breath and really tired. The pain goes into the foot as well. My veins have been protruding a bit more in the ankle and up to the thigh. Upon waking I can't put weight on it until I work it out. Web sources are freaking me out. Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn i have alot of pain in my left shin with small swellings ,like my veins arepopping out, also my left foot willcramp and my toes curl under.
Avatar f tn Have you undergone any recent surgery on the right leg, ankle or the foot? Is there any history of varicose veins or defective valves in the leg veins? I hope you are not taking any hormone like estrogens, perimenopausal? This needs urgent attention by a surgeon. Have you been checked for diabetes? It could be an abscess needing urgent drainage. You must go to the emergency room and an urgent x ray done to check for any ankle fracture.
Avatar f tn s a Vascular problem. Yesterday after walking 30 minutes, my right foot had a burning sensation. I examined my foot and noticed the veins looked weaker and there were also very thin red ones I had never seen. I am wondering what this may be and who I should see concerning it. I also have lightheadedness, and heavy breathing while exercising ( walking at a mild-moderate pace ). I have some balance and gait issues as well.
Avatar m tn If I let a limb dangle, blood pools inside and I feel like the limb is dead almost. My skin constantly feels the veins tugging. What would cause varicose veins to destroy my life like this? They just keep popping up everywhere... I have been to the doctor and taken 5+ blood tests of all sorts, had my heart tested, urine tested, had an abdominal ultrasound, and he found nothing. We've tried nerve medications (lyrica) and had no success.
574423 tn?1258658571 a few of us here have foot pain; for me, it seems a circulatory problem more than fibro related; i have similar feet tingling mildly, and legs hurt [muscular], and sometimes feel like veins are distended when i stand up after lying down. i'm also on magnesium and vit d which feel like they're doing good...
Avatar f tn I have been in a lot of pain with her already. I can't sleep at night and she has her foot in my ribs constantly. I swear she has been head down for awhile. I've felt this pain before but goes away little then comes back.
Avatar f tn Turns out, I have my entire lower left leg with AVM and varicose veins. Needless to say, I am in constant pain. I have gone to different specialist and I have gotten the same response: cannot be fixed. I am managing my pain (somewhat) with the following: - Yoga - Swimming (although at the beginning is painful, it gets releived with time) - I have put two big books under my mattress to sleep with my legs elevated - Compression stockings pretty much all the time.
2063887 tn?1337829746 I was reading past posts about people's feet turning purple. I went for my acupuncture appointment this week and she noticed that my toes are changing color. I'm not having pain in my feet and the numbness from my last flare is definitely getting better. She had me start doing some foot massage to help it, but they're still blotchy and purple. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn The causes for foot swelling are blood clot, leg infection, venous insufficiency, varicose veins; burns include sunburn, insect bite or sting, starvation or malnutrition, surgery to leg or foot, blockade of lymph nodes in the legs or lymphatic obstruction. certain medications like hormones viz, estrogens, and testosterone, blood pressure medicines called calcium channel blockers etc.
Avatar f tn I get this weird vibrating feel on my left ankle. It feels as if something is vibrating inside my veins. I'm 19 years old. I've suffered from ingrown toenails on my left toe for about six years, not sure if it's a relevant fact or not. Also, I drive a standard car and I'm not sure if it's because of clutching that it gets this way. Help?
