Avatar f tn Hello everyone. I am writing on behalf of my mother. She is 55 and suffers from diabetes. I am not sure which type she has but lately she has been having a pain down her right leg (from the buttock area all the way down) She says she feels like the area gets hot and feels tingling and after being in her feet for a ling time she feels a numb sensation, sometimes pressure. She has already had a doppler to check for blood clots and that came back fine.
Avatar f tn I am taking the western blot this week. But I am experiencing nerve type aching pain in my foot, leg, vagina, and hand - all on the left side. I know hsv can sometimes cause nerve pain in the foot/leg region, but could be causing the pain/numbness in my hand as well? Do you think it’s still possible I had a false positive even though my labia is irritated and I am having this nerve pain? I read that left foot nerve pain is pretty indicative of hsv2. Thank you in advance.
Avatar n tn I get a sharp, shooting pain in my left foot. There is no discoloration or any injury, it started suddenly and has been like that since 2 days. It is upper part of foot and is not continuous. I am not injured in any way .
Avatar f tn She shot above my ankle and I felt the numbness go down my foot and wrap around under my foot right where the pain was. She determined it was a nicked nerve from the biopsy all that time ago. She said we might have to remove the nerve. what kind of doctor is the best for that procedure? Will I loose the use of my foot or feeling? I cant have this dr do the surgery because she is not on my plan. ( She was my 2nd opinion) My podiatrist has a couple of people.
Avatar n tn Hi, I have a pain in my right foot. It is on the top of my foot and only last a few seconds then goes away. Seems to happen most when I am relaxed or laying down. I can't recall any injuries, there is no bruising and does not hurt to touch or press. It is quite painful while it's happening and has been going on for the last 3 days. Does anyone know what this might be or how I can stop it from happening?

1091845 tn?1263162000 my one leg is much worse than the other and on this side I too have pain down into my foot...the foot will burn but not the leg/legs....with the legs its more of a tightness/muscle spasm feeling and the non stop ache... (hey I too need SPELL CHECK, you are NOT alone here either!) I have discribed my leg pain as they feel like they are encased in cement...maybe more accurate is they feel like they are CEMENT...heavy,hard to bend, and SOLID...
Avatar f tn I have nerve damage from 2 foot surgeries and my foot doctor suggests 16 shots of novocaine twice a week for 8 weeks and that will act as a nerve block, and tell my brain I have no more pain. Have you heard of this for and if is good?
Avatar m tn The surgery required plastic surgery which resulted in nerve pain from my knee to my foot. It follows along the peroneal nerve. I am on gabapentin, Hydromorph Contin and Methadone to control pain. I also am taking acupuncture and trying a desensitization technique by rubbing different kinds of materials along my leg. The pain can be quite severe. Do you have any other suggestions that would take away the pain?
Avatar n tn I have been reading people's concerns and suggestions for what I think is a similar problem I am having. It is becoming very frustrating at this point since my Dr.'s cannot seem to find the problem only what the "think" it could be. I have been having heel/foot pain for over 2 months now.

Avatar m tn I am having all sorts of pain in my foot and leg and can't seem to get a diagnosis. So far, I've seen two podiatrists, neurologst, PCP, and will see an orthopedic surgeon in about a month. Last year I rolled over my big toe with a pallet jack that had a pallet on it at an old job. Well at the time it didn't break my foot or cause any bruising or any type of problem that required medical attention so I let it go.
Avatar m tn I am in agony with sural nerve pain. I was getting into my car and both feet still not in. I shut car door on my right foot which pushed left foot to edge of car. I am in agony with right foot pain. Now the left is starting to hurt. I am heading for an injection to numb the nerve. If that fails, surgery on card. Has anyone had surgery? What is pain like after? How long before back on feet. Thanks a lot for you help.

Avatar n tn After removing the callus I noticed a hole in the bottom of my foot that bled (not caused by me removing the callus too deep) I had severe pain in my little toe that seemed to be attached to this hole in my foot. For years the callus would grown and there would always be a little speck of blood underneath. I still have pain in this area when ever I stand. Could this be an exposed nerve? What can I do about it?
Avatar n tn I have the oddest foot pain that came out of no where two days ago. The pain in my right foot makes me limp for a few steps after getting up. The pain is mostly in the sole of my foot and it is the the worst for the first ten steps or so then disappears. It comes and goes as I'm walking so I don't think I hurt it at the gym the other day. Anyone get foot pain...it hurts!
Avatar f tn A sharp pain on the outside of the foot just below the ankle bone, on either the left side of the left foot or the right side of the right foot. I notice that one person in this thread talked about pain on the inside of their foot, but this topic does NOT address that area of the foot. Please keep this discussion to the correct area of the foot. I too have had this pain. It started about 6 months ago while I was sitting in a meeting.
Avatar m tn There are dozens of physical foot pain reasons; poor fitting shoes, sprains, fractures, muscle strains, and so on. However, if you have uncontrolled and unmanaged diabetes and are also experiencing a tingling or burning sensation in your foot/feet, the cause could be from Peripheral Neuropathy, damage to a nerve or group of nerves. If left untreated it may lead to amputation. Go see your doctor for an examination.
Avatar n tn They did a popiliteral nerve block. The first 2 days I could not move my foot. It finally started to improve, I thought. On the 6th day of post-op, I called my doctor and asked could the feeling like my leg was asleep could be from the cast or the nerve block. They told me to come in and they removed my cast. the doctor stated he does the nerve blocks to keep patients from hurting afterwards.
Avatar n tn i have a needle like pain shooting through the sole of my foot what is causing this to happen
