1140169 tn?1370185076 It feels like I'm having a muscle cramp in my left foot instep, but it looks normal and no amount of rubbing or massaging helps. It's been bothering me for a couple days, woke me up one night. It changes in severity throughout the day for no apparent reason, and is never sore enough that I can't walk on it, it's just very iritating. I think it's probably a parasthesia (sp), another MS symptom I guess. Anyone else experience sx's like this?
Avatar n tn I have a painful instep from jumping on a shovel without work boots. The instep is not swollen, red, or bruised, but it is painful to walk on. Is this just a bruised tendon that will heal in time or should I make a visit to a foot dr.
1218873 tn?1300091216 When I walk I get cramp in my right foot/ankle, this the top of my foot, not the instep or toes. Then when I try to stretch it out to easy the pain (like pointing your foot) I seem to get a different sort of cramp it is in the same area but has a different feeling. Aftera short while I feel more comfortable but then in the evening the cramp I felt walking comes back to haunt me! This is consistant when I walk say 300 metres (which is the distance from our house to the local shops.
Avatar m tn I continue to have swelling in the instep of my foot, which gets much worse causing knotty swelling around the instep, ankle and up my leg. The pain in pretty disabling. The wound on my leg is very slowly healing but the rash is very persistent. It is similar to large hives. However, I have ruled out an allergic reaction. It is extremely itchy and painful. What else can I do?

Avatar n tn You may have an accessory navicular, which is an extra bone growth on the tarsal navicular, the bone in the arch of your foot. This can be accompanied by an abnormal attachment of the posterior tibial tendon (PTT) and can cause the sort of pain you are describing. Occasionally, the accessory navicular is injured and separated from the "true" navicular. If this does not heal correctly, it can also be a chronic source of instep pain.
Avatar n tn Do you have any instep problems?? My foot rolls out when I walk and this was giving me problems in my knee when I walked. I went to a 'propper' athletics shoe store and actually spoke to someone who knew the ins and outs of all the shoes. They fited me with a pair of joggers that counteracted my rolling out and I immediatly noticed the difference in my knee while walking.

Avatar n tn I am not diabetic and,as stated, have been through extensive testing with no known cause even though I subsequently found that my brother and sister also have foot neuropathies. Avatar n tn s feet got a really dry thick hard patch of skin on ball of her foot and then it started to peel terribly and crack in between toes and down her instep. Avatar f tn Anyways today a big guitar amp fell onto the top of my foot crushing my instep. It is bruised, hugely swollen and i can even feel some small bone poken through. Avatar f tn I am a 55 year old female who also has had blood vessels pop in my hands without any injury. The bruises were preceded by pain that felt let my hand was hit by a hammer. About ten years ago I went to an armload of specialists (vascular, cardiology, rheumatology, orthopedist, internal medicine, emergency medicine) none of whom ever heard of this problem, but pronounced me in otherwise excellent health.

Avatar n tn I had a tiny (1 mm) light brown spot removed from the bottom of my foot near the instep, in May (of this year), about 4 months ago. My dermatologist said it was nothing but since he knows I have anxiety about skin cancer and would worry about it, he scraped it off. He did not biopsy it or take a wide margin, basically he scraped it off and threw it away and said to put it out of my mind. Now it looks like it is coming back!
645800 tn?1466860955 ) So next I headed to optical but they were at lunch. So I headed for prosthetics to get the new brace for my left foot. I had a different tech this time and he was pleasant and caring. After getting the brace into my left shoe I could feel the part that goes up the outside of my leg rubbing against my instep and I mentioned it to him. So after a look he went off and got some inserts for diabetics to put into my shoes to provide extra padding.
Avatar f tn We have an InStep jogging stroller, and I don't like it! The front wheel jiggles unless I lock it in place for jogging. We have a brick on the front of the stroller for some counter weight! It's an awesome look!

Avatar n tn If I quit smoking will my oxygen levels return to normal?. I had the lung function test done, it appears to be okay. I exercise daily 3 miles on a treadmill. I do not want anymore tests, I think this would be a goal if I can return my oxygen levels to normal without anymore testing.
645800 tn?1466860955 The one that always bugged me the most was the one in the instep of my foot. With those my toes will alway curl under which also make it difficult to walk. Since walking is about the only exercise I get I do like to walk a lot even if it is a strange walk. LOL Flare? What's a flare? It has been so long since I have any kind of remission that I don't think I remember what they are like.
Avatar m tn I actually do think it is neurological. In the summers my right lower leg, ankle and foot swell and become dusky and cool. The ankle actually develops an effusion in the joint. This happened last summer, some of you might remember, and I was repeatedly checked for a DVT. Negative. Two doctors I saw said that it looked like Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, but without the pain. I did have a toe injury in that foot that started the whole problem.
Avatar m tn My right foot is just the opposite. It feels sort of cool to me, but on touch it is like ice. Mine is a better way to be because it is not uncomfortable as long as the foot doesn't touch another part of me. My toes are always purple and the foot swells. My neuro - hwom I respect - says this is all part of the autonomic nervous system involvement. Those nerves run down the spinal cord right next to the motor nerves. My right leg is the one that is weak and spastic.

Avatar f tn This has been going on for a few months now, but the symptoms seemed to change recently. At first I would get fatigued for no good reason, out of breath, dizzy sometimes, I would get night sweats, my heart would feel like it would stop and then all of a sudden start again, and I would get small splinter hemorrhages near the periphery of my fingernails (usually index finger or thumb) after episodes of this happening. This didn't happen every day.
