Common Questions and Answers about Foot pain diagnosis

foot

Avatar f tn This knot does not hurt. Could this be the source of my pain? My foot actually hurts more toward the outside and where the heel starts. The heel itself is not really painful. Also, my foot feels like it is going to get a cramp in more now. Is the knot any cause for concern? Thanks for your advice.
Avatar m tn Other health issues like thyroid disease can also bring on foot, leg, and hand pain - I also have this. Custom foot Orthodics also help but not alone- the good ones start at $200 a pair. The flimsy $10 ones offer no support.
Avatar f tn A 3 pound can was dropped on the top of my foot today,I am experiencing swelling and pain that shoots down to my toes ands up my leg.I can still walk on my foot but it hurts.Could I have a small fracture on the top of my foot?
Avatar n tn this happened to me about 3-4 years ago as well - and it went away - same pain - at that time I treated myself for a small blister on my toe with lamisil. Prior to getting my PN diagnosis, I went to a foot doctor, then to a dermatologist. foot doc of course wanted me to buy $350 worth of something to insert in my shoes, dermatologist said no to athletes foot. Why I can't accept it's PN is because of the time before.... exact and I mean exact symptoms.... and it went away.
Avatar f tn m having constant pain in my foot that burns and also shocks of pain that causes me to not stand or walk. I have seen the Dr's also had many x-ray's but they all tell me there is nothing they can do for the pain. Any suggestion's?
Avatar f tn I am not a doctor but about 4 years ago, I had foot pain as well, went to doctors, no reason for the pain, lasted about 3 month then went away, then had first really bad bought of numbness and tingling in my one arm,no diagnosis took place then, still off and on issues and finally got diagnosis of MS a few months ago. I wonder if the foot pain was MS since nothing helped it then. I get foot pain now so that is why I think it was MS related.
Avatar n tn Its gone on for 3yrs. now and the only diagnosis we have is growing pain. The pain is now taking place in her hands and the last couple of weeks, her thighs. Avatar f tn Feels like the skin on the back of my ankle is ripping when I flex my right foot or bend over with knees straight! It’s a horrible burning tearing pain. I’ve also noticed that when my foot is relaxed that the skin in that area actually feels somewhat numb! Wish someone knew what is causing this.
Avatar m tn I am having all sorts of pain in my foot and leg and can't seem to get a diagnosis. So far, I've seen two podiatrists, neurologst, PCP, and will see an orthopedic surgeon in about a month. Last year I rolled over my big toe with a pallet jack that had a pallet on it at an old job. Well at the time it didn't break my foot or cause any bruising or any type of problem that required medical attention so I let it go.
Avatar n tn Yes, I've been having some pain in my left calf to heel also, along with bilateral pelvic pain. I'm constantly feel like I have a major toothache with stabbing pain with movement.
Avatar m tn Within the last two months, I have been experiencing burning and pain in my right foot (including toes). I am taking oxcarbazepine, is this a side affect or does it mean I need to increase the dose.
527734 tn?1212761586 8 months ago I had my 3rd child. I lost most of my baby weight and seemed to be doing well working on losing some extra I had put on after child #2 and never got rid of, I had my tubes tied the day I delivered my 3rd child, and things seemed to be okay; but then I started getting foot pain after my son was about 2 months old, and I noticed that the weight I had lost came back fast. I had not changed my diet or my routine.
Avatar n tn My husband is 35 years old. He has had bilateral foot pain and swelling (non pitting edema) for past several months. Initially the symptoms began about a week after he had went for a 20 mile bike ride with a friend, he had not worked out much prior to the long ride. When the symptoms began of foot pain and swelling about a week later we assumed it was related to the over exercise.
Avatar f tn on my rt foot is numb going up to my arm I have shooting, burning pain when someone touches my rt arm or leg I have shooting burning pain it does not feel like it is my leg at my foot it feels like something is wrapped around the foot. I can walk out side in the heat and not feel it on my bare foot. it hurts so bad. I have gone to the hospital they ignored it.
Avatar f tn She shot above my ankle and I felt the numbness go down my foot and wrap around under my foot right where the pain was. She determined it was a nicked nerve from the biopsy all that time ago. She said we might have to remove the nerve. what kind of doctor is the best for that procedure? Will I loose the use of my foot or feeling? I cant have this dr do the surgery because she is not on my plan. ( She was my 2nd opinion) My podiatrist has a couple of people.
Avatar n tn I am experiencing the same symtoms again But after reading some post related to foot drop pain I am wondering if it's not in neuropathy that I have? I Appreciate any feedback. Thank you. Btw, I am a 64 year old female!

Avatar m tn I have constant numbness, tingling, shooting pain in my toes, pain at the base of my foot in the heal of my foot, the arches and the ball of my foot. At times, it feels like a rug or sock is crumpled up under the ball of my foot. Believe it or not, my toenails hurt as well. The pain is always present and ranges from about 7-10 on a 10 scale with 10 being the absolute worst. There are times when I cannot feel my feet for several days at a time.
