Avatar n tn After sitting or lying down, even driving a car for a period of time, my feel get extremely painful, especially in the area between the ball of the foot and the heel. the heel never gets sore. It takes up to 2 hours of walking about before the pain subsides, but it returns as soon as I sit again. The pain almist feels as if someone has taken a knife and shredded the bottom of my feet. It is the same in both feet.
1561628 tn?1294923998 Playing any sports caused the zapping to get worse and radiate throughout the foot, toes, ancle and calf. After lots of rest, this sensation got better although will not go away, some days its there and some days only a light tigling. Sitting make the symptoms worse and walking, standing, or lying down seem to improve symptoms. Ive had a clear EMG, Lumbar MRI, X-rays, neurolgical test. Im 31, and an atheletic male. Thanks for any assistance.
Avatar n tn MRI DONE, MRI READING NORMAL. PAIN ONLY ON THE FOOT. BETWEEN START OF TOES AND ANKLE. PAIN WHEN I WALK, STEP DOWN AFTER SITTING OR LYING DOWN.
Avatar f tn I already posted this in another forum but i wanted as much feed back as i can get lol....So I have had pain in the back of my heels since I found out I was pregnant but recently it's getting worse. It doesn't matte if I'm standing or sitting the pain is horrible. If I sit for more than two minutes and try to get up and walk the pain is almost unbearable! Does anyone know what this is? Any advice? Should I talk to my dr when I see her next?
Avatar f tn You sodium intake may have a lot to do with it. Less sodium way more water. If that doesn't help maybe change your shoes. I work for Nike and im 29weeks i had to change into "mommy" shoes once i reached 27weeks due to foot pain.
Avatar f tn For the past three or four years I have had severe pain in my toes when bearing weight on my foot. When sitting down there is no pain but when I stand and start walking the pain is extreme when bearing weight on the foot. Examination by a phisio, orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist have not been able to help. I have been prescibed various drugs including baclofen and pregabalin but still no joy. Anyone have a similar experience and information would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn A sharp pain on the outside of the foot just below the ankle bone, on either the left side of the left foot or the right side of the right foot. I notice that one person in this thread talked about pain on the inside of their foot, but this topic does NOT address that area of the foot. Please keep this discussion to the correct area of the foot. I too have had this pain. It started about 6 months ago while I was sitting in a meeting.
Avatar m tn I was playing my saxophone (sitting down). I was tapping my foot up and down to count the beats when suddenly there was a sharp pain in the left side of my right foot's arch and I couldn't move my big toe (kind of like it was paralyzed or something). It went away within a few seconds though, and I could move my toe again. Should I be worried?
Avatar n tn Being a walking tendon I take it all the time already. Mines in my left foot after I had been standing on pavement for 2 weeks in bad shoes. I can only assume it's nerve damage. Pain is one thing but it "vibrates" in intervals and it keeps me up all night. It's literally making me crazy at this point.
Avatar f tn I have the same thing for ten years- pain and foot stiffnes in the morning for ten years- better after walking for ten minutes till 2 weeks ago- all of a sudden the pain was severe and constant with a throbbing- no over the counter meds worked so I made an appointment for a podiatrist- he gave me a prescription for naproxen (whitch didn't work and made my stomache on fire for hours) he diagnosed me with mortons toe- if your big toe is shorter than your second toe you have mortons toe- it can
Avatar m tn I get hot toes on my left foot sometimes after a large meal or after a couple of alcoholic beaverages. The next day my toes, top of foot, ankle, and shin are very sensative. Not really any pain, but more sensative to everything (water in shower, shoe, socks, etc). Also, my ankle feels "tight" and cracks, while my shin muscle is achy. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be. My purines levels for gout are good, my fasting glucose levels are good.
Avatar n tn ve been dealing with some tingling in my right foot and discomfort when sitting down. (I initially thought i was sitting on my testicles or something). The doctor informed me it wasn't sciatica which i thought it was originally and the big muscle that was causing me problems sitting down apparently is the upper hamstring being really tight? I've done some stretching and now I can sit comfortably, however, time to time the tingling in the right foot comes back.
Avatar f tn Hi penquinz, go to a Poditrist (foot doctor) don't waste your time with a pediatrician there not foot doctors. i've had 6 surgeries on my left foot and 1 on my right foot. i go to a foot doctor and not my primary care doctor. your daughter may need an MRI. MRI's are used to find soft tissue damage.
Avatar f tn This morning I was sitting on the floor to get something and the top of my foot touched the floor, and the pain was excruciating. And whenever, I walk on it, It feels uncomfortable, just like a little feeling. Oh, and the pain I was describing would be classified as a stinging pain when I touch it or if it touches anything. Sitting down, the uncomfortable feeling is there. Now my foot is swollen not too much though and the bruise is a bit larger and its less blue.
Avatar m tn I had severe pain in my hip and down my leg but after a few day all I had was numbness and foot drop to the point I was falling all of the time. I use a walker now and am thinking of surgery. All the comments I hear are after surgery the numbness set in, is there no hope for me?
Avatar f tn I have pain in my right foot, mainly my big toe and the one next to it, and have resorted to altering the way I walk in order to achieve some sort of relief. I have tremendous pain after sitting and standing up. I do not have medical insurance and am wondering if anyone has any tips, remedies, etc that could help me.
556637 tn?1249785348 I had pain throughout the day, and it was, by far, the worst case I have ever had. Needless to say, I was walking on the outside of my foot to avoid the pain. This only caused more issues. The outside of my foot began grinding/cracking when walking. Also, I have pain on the outside of my heel, between my calcaneus and the base of my 5th metatarsal. It's more towards the bottom of my foot, but right along that edge where my foot meets the floor. The pain does not go up into my ankle.
Avatar f tn Hi i would like to know when im sleeping my foots are at reset but in the morning when i woke up from the bed the firts 10 steps are very painfull but after that its fine . Then when im sitting for a few min and try to walk is sore over again why is that.
380253 tn?1204291103 I have had a pain now for two months, and its only after sitting?? I feel no pain on walking, lying down. sitting really forward with my head toward my knees..... Its at its worst when I go to stand up after sitting upright and it does'nt last for any length of time! I worry most about going on holiday in a few months time and its a long flight!! I dont know if there is anything that can be done..... The doctors put everything down to athritis, without even giving me an xray....
Avatar f tn A man stood on my right foot (accidently). That night the pain was very bad, my foot had swollen slightly (towards the side of the foot) and it was slightly bruised. It was that sore, I couldn't walk the stairs to bed, I had to crawl up on my knees. I could barely even wiggle my toes. Now, 9 days later, while it's not swollen or bruised anymore, it's still sore down the side of my foot and I still can't put full weight on it when I'm walking.
