Avatar f tn Hi all, In the past 2 days I have experiences the most painful and uncomfortable cramps in the bottom of my foot, my toes are curling up and are stiff. They are coming about 4 times per day and lasting 30-40 minutes of agony each time. Any ideas of what this is????
1123420 tn?1350561158 For charlie horses what you want to do to stop the pain almost instantaneously is to flex your foot. Your natural reaction is to point your toes and try to stretch out the pain but that can make it worse or lengthen the pain time. Instead flex your foot (imagine trying to point your toes toward your forehead). This should stop the pain ALMOST immediately.
Avatar f tn As soon as it happens flexible your foot. (Pull your toes upwards towards the knee).
335728 tn?1331414412 It happens when I lift my feet off the floor, when I am lying in bed and the worst is when I am driving I get cramps in the toes on my right foot and it is a little scary...I am afraid that I will lift my foot off the brake or push down on the gas inappropriately when these cramps hit! Any ideas out there?
Avatar f tn t the middle of the night) when i was walking around with my foot stuck pointing down, so i was walking on my toes on only one foot, half asleep, in awkward pain. Lol. Hurts more now with my sore muscles!
Avatar m tn Hello- When I bend my toes, my foot tightens and stays this way until I unbend them or sometimes, I have to walk it off. It is a very excruciating pain and it even causes my toes to separate even more. What is going on?
Avatar f tn When cramps occur, what direction are your feet? I've realized with my cramps, my feet are extended & my toes are pointed down, but if I quick pull my toes upward towards my shin, then the cramp goes away or stops right away. Not sure if they will help, but might be worth a shot. Another thing that helped stopped my leg cramps was drinking Pedialite. Great source of electrolites without the sugar!
1218873 tn?1300091216 sometimes the spasms are top of foot but close to the base of my toes. it makes my toes pull up. Sometimes it is right in the middle of the top of my foot or even like my ankle has a spasm. I don't know if that is really possible but that is what it feels like. This happens on my left foot and that leg and foot don't work right. so i sit and put my right foot over the left to move it up and under me so it pulls my toes downward. it helps some.

Avatar m tn Hello everyone. Roughly 1 month ago I had athlete's foot. Unfortunately, as a complication of the athlete's foot, I also developed several small sores on my toes (right foot only, left foot completely unaffected) in the area of the athlete's foot. At first they developed quickly, were tender or painful to touch, oozing pus and the area around them was slightly inflamed.
Avatar f tn U have to take ur toes n bend them up yo ur hips just the foot n it gets rid of the pain. My doctor said its due to lack of potassium and water in the muscle. The baby ***** nutrients out of every part of the body. Including ur muscles. Eat bananas and drink water. It reduced my pain n when I still get them , I bend my toes up to my hips n it stretches my calves and makes the horse stop kicking lol.
619779 tn?1221411897 My whole foot and the lower part of my leg is cold now, toes particularly cold. Toes are tending to cross (maybe they did before but didn;t notice?). My Dad's toes do that as he had frostbite during the war he said. It was decision time 'me stopping smoking' or 'smoking stopping me' so I'm on patches now. I forgot to telephone the GP on 24th so will do so tomorrow.

Avatar f tn I flex my foot (point my toes towards my face) and hold it there if my leg starts to cramp when I'm in bed. Stops it every time.
Avatar f tn When it starts, press your foot against the wall or bed or something. Anything to make your foot flat. I couldn't stand up with mine, they were bad. But making your foot flat will relieve it QUICK.
4591205 tn?1410605174 I know it comes with pregnancy but last night it was so bad I woke up 5 dif times with cramps in one or the other leg and once it was my calf and my whole foot and I had to get up and waddle around to get it to stop then when I laid back down it started up again and the other leg was cramping up too at the same time.
Avatar m tn I have been getting bad cramps that really feel like shooting pain down one vein in my arm, leg, and foot. Is this normal? Does anyone get something like that or just cramps in the arches of your feet? I also get cramps in my knee.
Avatar f tn im not sure if its just ugly feet but on one foot my toes end pointing up nail and everything, also where the cuticle is located i also have alot of skin that hides majority of my nails making it look like i over cut them.
Avatar f tn It is usually worse when I lay down and have no pressure on the bottom of my foot. Then the toes and foot tend to curl down and cause pain.
Avatar f tn They help prevent cramps, pregnant or not. Also, when you do get them, flex your foot. DO NOT point your toes out. Grab your foot and pull it towards you so it's like your making an L with your leg and foot. That should relieve it almost instantly.
Avatar f tn My Mom is 73 years old and for the last 4 years her left foot has slowly had the skin to get tighter and toes gradually curl under. This has recently moved to her right foot. She is still able to walk about 1-2 miles per day, but it is getting more painful to straighten her toes out. She says it is like an electric current goes through her feet when she straightens her toes. The Dr.
