Avatar m tn I've been having constant foot cramps. Podiatrist recommended some stretches and stuff, but also suggested a thyroid test. FT3 is 3.22 (2.57-4.43) FT4 is 1.17 (0.64-1.77) TSH is 4.24 (0.27-4.2) Anti-Tg is 41.14 (1000 (<5.61) So the TSH is just a hair too high, but the anti-TPO is off the chart. Is there a thyroid problem or not? What does this mean? I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist, but I just want to get ahead of the game.
4619045 tn?1361132610 m able to do these days) my right leg gets horrible cramps and muscle contractions in my right thigh then my right foot numbs and I actually have a episode where the foot drags or I trip on it. This happened a couple weeks ago before my new doctors visit.
Avatar f tn Rest cramps often occur during the night. While not life-threatening, night cramps (commonly known as nocturnal cramps) can be painful, disruptive of sleep, and they can recur frequently (that is, many times a night, and/or many nights each week). The actual cause of night cramps is unknown. Sometimes, such cramps are initiated by making a movement that shortens the muscle. An example is pointing the toe down while lying in bed, which shortens the calf muscle, a common site of cramps.

Avatar n tn About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. During this time I had struggled with painful sciatica and once on a while would feel tingling sensations on my toes on my left foot. After many months the sciatica resolved itself as did the tingling sensations. Over these years sciatica would pop up if I aggravated my lower back and the tinging of the toes would show up here and there but never constant.

Avatar f tn I am 30w 5d and I have been experiencing legs cramps and foot cramps the past month. These last 4 days my cramps have been in both legs/ feets at the sams time and last night I fell and could not get up. My husband had to left me up and help me walk it out. They last around 5-10 minutes. Does anyone else have these problems? I have increased my potassium and tried peppermint oil before bed.
Avatar f tn Commonly cited conditions that lead to cramps include muscle fatigue, lack of proper stretching, dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Less commonly, medications or an underlying medical disorder are the culprit. Exercising in a hot environment can lead to excessive sweating, which further contributes to dehydration. If you aren't getting enough electrolytes in your diet, particularly sodium, potassium and magnesium, that can also contribute to getting foot cramps.
1936550 tn?1348360208 re not bleeding you should be fine with some tylenol and a warm shower.. Also bouncing a on a yoga or pregnancy ball may help during deep breaths.. If you continue feeling light headed, lie on your left side and get some sleep. Your sciatic nerves and superior vena cava maybe have been compressedfor an extended amount of time..

1834324 tn?1322141104 I would just say try to make time to stretch, before bed, i been doing Yoga it's very relaxing i'm always ready to sleep afterward and Pilates the both keep you loose and and keep your back and core strong during pregnancy. Plus it's free i get videos from Youtube.
649848 tn?1534633700 Well, Ranaesheart suggested the other day that I do a post about yoga, since I suggest it whenever someone new comes into the community, so I'm going to give it a shot. I must confess, I am definitely a novice with yoga myself, but I learn more as I go along. I know there are several different kinds of yoga, ranging from what I do, which is slow and deliberate to another type that is very physical. Each kind of yoga has its own name and no, I don't know them all.
Avatar f tn It happens at night for me and I have to get out of bed and like jump around for it to stop. It hurts so so bad in my calves. I know its common during pregnancy but geez it hurts so bad.
Avatar f tn Yes I get them all day and night, 3rd pregnancy for me and nothing really makes them go away I alternate stretching, pillows, exercise, tylonol (when unbearable), potassium, I try to eat bananas. Sometimes it helps others nothing works. Its one of the more annoying cant do much about it symptoms, just try to hang in there, oh also sleeping propped up helps, in a recliner prefrably. Hope you find some relief.
