746818 tn?1233944362 Do you still workout during Menses or do you take a break? I always feel so yucky and unmotivated during this time....
Avatar n tn Hydrate before hand and then drink water as necessary during your workout, it will increase your endurance and reduce the likelihood of cramps.
Avatar f tn Rest cramps often occur during the night. While not life-threatening, night cramps (commonly known as nocturnal cramps) can be painful, disruptive of sleep, and they can recur frequently (that is, many times a night, and/or many nights each week). The actual cause of night cramps is unknown. Sometimes, such cramps are initiated by making a movement that shortens the muscle. An example is pointing the toe down while lying in bed, which shortens the calf muscle, a common site of cramps.

Avatar f tn Try eating a banana or two a day and drink a glass of water before bed. If it still happens lift your foot up so knee is in the air and foot is on the bed.
7290973 tn?1403777469 I'm loving the snow right now. Hubby and I just went for a walk across our property and there's spots where the snow is more than a foot taller than me! We had SO much fun. I hope the workout gets my little guy moving!

Avatar m tn I've been having constant foot cramps. Podiatrist recommended some stretches and stuff, but also suggested a thyroid test. FT3 is 3.22 (2.57-4.43) FT4 is 1.17 (0.64-1.77) TSH is 4.24 (0.27-4.2) Anti-Tg is 41.14 (1000 (<5.61) So the TSH is just a hair too high, but the anti-TPO is off the chart. Is there a thyroid problem or not? What does this mean? I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist, but I just want to get ahead of the game.
Avatar m tn It took me several years to get my foot brace because my foot drop only occurred visibly when I was tired. I finally got the foot brace when I finally saw my neuro when it was bad and he saw that my foot was turning in and had a bad foot drop.
Avatar n tn Hi ladies, is anyone suffering from leg/foot cramps. I'm 25 weeks pregnant and they've started coming on badly in the evenings and during the night in the last few weeks. I'm trying to drink lots of water and have a topical magnesium cream but nothing helps. So painful and causing really disturbed sleep. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn The doctor gives great advice, as usual. The only thing i think is also important to mention is the need to "warm up" before starting exercising. Warming up to me would be to make sure I stretch the muscles that I'll be targeting during my workout. Proper stretching can prevent many muscle pulls, as well as a lot of aches and pains post workout. It won't cure all aches and pains, etc., but it will certainly not hurt you to do so! take care.
Avatar f tn I am 30w 5d and I have been experiencing legs cramps and foot cramps the past month. These last 4 days my cramps have been in both legs/ feets at the sams time and last night I fell and could not get up. My husband had to left me up and help me walk it out. They last around 5-10 minutes. Does anyone else have these problems? I have increased my potassium and tried peppermint oil before bed.
Avatar f tn Commonly cited conditions that lead to cramps include muscle fatigue, lack of proper stretching, dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. Less commonly, medications or an underlying medical disorder are the culprit. Exercising in a hot environment can lead to excessive sweating, which further contributes to dehydration. If you aren't getting enough electrolytes in your diet, particularly sodium, potassium and magnesium, that can also contribute to getting foot cramps.
Avatar n tn What could be the problem with the ball of my foot? I workout doing aerobics twice a week. What can I do for the pain?
314554 tn?1337454119 (Female 46 yr) My podiatrist examined the Morton's Neuromas on both of my feet about year ago. He made my orthotics and I wear ShockDoctor orthotics in some of my other shoes. At one time, I had several knee and tibia "injuries" that were biomechanical in nature from overtraining on the stairmaster and the occasional use/misuse of sports performance & pain meds (no longer use).
676912 tn?1332812551 I know I shouldn't be asking "is this a sign" questions, but...I just got back from the gym about 30 min ago, still don't know if I'm getting a BFP or not so I wasn't hard on myself at all. I did 15 on the bike, and didn't go very fast, and 15 on the elyptacal (sp?) which is just like running or walking, and I did a fast walk. Now my abdomen hurts....any clue? Could it be a sign of pregnancy?
Avatar n tn I wanted to know of anyone goes through this as well. After every workout I spot. Sometimes I get cramps. Most of the time I don't. I hate the spotting but have learned to see it as normal. Is it normal? I'm 22. I would say I'm in good health. I used to jog 4 miles daily. 2 or 4 miles I spot anyway. Does this happen to anyone else?
Avatar f tn It is followed by intense pain in my lower stomach similar to the pains I get during my menstrual cramps. This pain occurs though when I am not on my period. Sometimes after running a mile it is so intense I have to lay down until it goes away. The pain usually doesn't last more than 10 min. The more intense the workout the more intense the pain. It does not feel like it is a type of muscle pain. Is there something serious going on, or is this normal?
