Avatar n tn Was your doctor saying that it would be difficult to get an MRI through your insurance? I would guess the referring doctor would have to take that up with them... While insurance companies will do anything to deny a claim, if you are having pain that's lasting a year it would seem to me they'd approve an MRI... Is he referring you to an ortho? I'd highly recommend a sports medicine ortho.
Avatar f tn But the baby had the legs and feet curled up in between so it could have been the leg or foot bone. I honestly think it looked like a foot bone. I looked up pics of the girl anatomy and none of the pics I seen looked anything like what she showed us. Idk she's the tech I guess but now I gotta wait and see if my doctor will want to take out the ultrasound machine at my next appointment and see if she can get our little love to open his/her legs.
Avatar f tn All it's saying is that the MRI is of the five vertebrae in the lumbar spine. Each section of the spine consists of a certain number of vertebrae. The cervical spine (neck) consists of 7, the thoracic spine (chest) consists of 12, and the lumbar spine (from about the waist down) consists of 5. The MRI you had was of the lower (lumbar) spine and the 5 vertebrae that make it up.
Avatar n tn Whenever I lift my feet, including when I am walking, they hang down heavily and it feels like the Tibia? (I looked at a picture of ankle/foot anatomy and based on the diagram I assume it is the Tibia) and my feet are disconnected. It sort of feels like a bruising pain. I even have trouble rotating both of my feet. Not because of the pain (even though it does hurt) but it is hard to rotate to the front.
Avatar f tn i am scheduled to get an injection tuesday however this afternoon i started feeling leg and foot tingling again on the same side that i had all the pain on before. the doctor seems to think that it is caused from the facet or si joint. I dont believe that i re herniated my disc but at this point no one will give me another mri to make sure or anything. the pain started on the right side which i had no pain to begin with on that side and is located in the butt.
Avatar f tn I am 23 years old and have asked in my age group to talk with someone else whos baby has been diagnosed with club foot, but no luck. Just wondering if anyone here is going through what I am?
Avatar f tn weeks They check the spine, heart, kidney, bladder, take measurement of babys size such as skull and I think they do crown to heel measurements rather than crown to rump. Also check foot for Club foot and measure femur bone. They do do a lot of checking but dont worry its precautionary for the most part. Theu do watch the heart beat and examine of course to make sure all os developing correctly. Its actually neat to see the babys spine and heart etc. good luck!
Avatar f tn I am now having issues with part of the bottom of my foot, including the ball of my foot and all my toes except the last three. When I move my foot, it feels like it has been asleep with the tingling, like pins and needles, and I cant go without shoes on that foot, I cant wear sandals, and when I do try to go without shoes on, the heal of my foot feels like the bone is going thru my foot. When I relax of an evening, my foot has like muscle spasms.
Avatar f tn My symptoms are left leg pain, burning sensation in thigh, intense pain anterior left foot below 2nd and 3rd digit that comes and goes. My left foot has a tendency to slap down when walking and feels numb. I have pain in both hips and I have pain in lower back constantly. Is surgery the only fix for this?

Avatar n tn I got in a fight with the ice last week and the ice won! My foot went one direction, but my knee went another. Just before I hit the ground, I felt and HEARD a 'pop'! My MRI report reads: "The menisci and cruciate ligaments are intact. High grade proximal medial collateral ligament sprain. The medial retinaculum is nearly completely torn from its femoral attachment. Articular cartilage ulcer at the medial patellar facet.

Avatar f tn I just had a mri done a week ago due to being sent to the hospital over 2 months ago for having some kind of seizure or stroke, which I am still trying to figure out and so is my neurologist. My mri shows C3-4 minimal diffuse disc bulge,C4-5 minimal diffuse disc bulge. Significant central canal or neuroforaminal space narrowing is not appreciated,C5-6 the disc protrusion is seen to the right of the midline which indents the ventral surface of the subarachnoid space.
Avatar f tn My taller baby would do that to me. It always felt like she was doing yoga in there. when I went in for anatomy scan she was sucking her toes. It's probably just baby's foot.
Avatar f tn Hi---I am a registered nurse and have recently been experiencing very sharp pain in my left foot....the top left side. I went to an orthopedist that specializes in feet and an mri was done and it showed nothing abnormal. This is the most painful condition that I have ever had. I am on my feet for twelve hour shifts and sometimes the pain keeps me awake at night. The next morning I wake up and my foot feels swollen and I have trouble walking.

Avatar f tn Hello, I have a distal fibula fracture and was wondering about how long before it'll heal. I had fallen down the stairs of my apt. after moving some stuff, missing a step, landing on right foot, and I couldn't walk afterward. The fall itself didn't hurt me, but I knew immediately my ankle was broken as it was swollen. I have some of the posts about it and it scares me that it may not unite. What is the general outlook for this type of fracture?
Avatar n tn I'm in my early 60s. At about 6 years of age I had an infection that resulted in a bout of hydrocephalus and a bilateral mastoid infection. No shunts were installed because sulpha drugs eventually took effect. I do remember a large amount of fluid in my head for sometime after that.
