Avatar f tn Yeah I've got two muscles or ligaments that run vertically either side of my belly and they are so painful to touch, even light pressure is quite painful, so when the technician pushed on those bits I kept jumping and yelling! She just learned to avoid them lol. It doesn't damage or hurt baby though, just yourself.
Avatar f tn i am scheduled to get an injection tuesday however this afternoon i started feeling leg and foot tingling again on the same side that i had all the pain on before. the doctor seems to think that it is caused from the facet or si joint. I dont believe that i re herniated my disc but at this point no one will give me another mri to make sure or anything. the pain started on the right side which i had no pain to begin with on that side and is located in the butt.
Avatar f tn Yes, there are no traditional hernias in the foot. However, if your plantar fascia and other ligaments are weak or injured then pads of fat can slip out and cause lumps. The bones held together by these ligaments may slip from place and cause a lump which looks like hernia. You need to ask your doctor for a MRI.
Avatar m tn The person checking me out reckons I damaged one or both sets of ligaments running down the outside of my foot/ankle. I should rest for a few days and then start to do physio exercises she gave me to build it back up.
Avatar n tn I got in a fight with the ice last week and the ice won! My foot went one direction, but my knee went another. Just before I hit the ground, I felt and HEARD a 'pop'! My MRI report reads: "The menisci and cruciate ligaments are intact. High grade proximal medial collateral ligament sprain. The medial retinaculum is nearly completely torn from its femoral attachment. Articular cartilage ulcer at the medial patellar facet.
Avatar f tn The anterior talofibular ligament, calcaneofibular ligament, the deltoid ligament, and the syndesmotic ligaments are the major ligaments involved in ankle stability. The anterior talofibular ligament is the most commonly injured ligament. Rest, ice, compression, and elevation (RICE regimen) is the standard treatment for a few days following a sprain.
Avatar f tn But the baby had the legs and feet curled up in between so it could have been the leg or foot bone. I honestly think it looked like a foot bone. I looked up pics of the girl anatomy and none of the pics I seen looked anything like what she showed us. Idk she's the tech I guess but now I gotta wait and see if my doctor will want to take out the ultrasound machine at my next appointment and see if she can get our little love to open his/her legs.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know what it might be??
Avatar n tn Two days, Friday the 13th... I rolled my ankle on another players foot playing basketball and severely injured my ankle. When the injury occurred, my foot rolled in and under my body and I heard and felt a 2 or 3 cracks and pops on the outside part of my ankle. Severe swelling and bruising began late last night just above my ankle and on my ankle down my foot. I do have pictures I've taken but don't know how to post them here. Is my only option to go to an orthopedic?
Avatar f tn I twisted my ankle and one doctor says I've torn some ligaments, another one says it's a simple ankle sprain. One suggests I use a hard cast or a walking boot, another says I'm to keep off weight bearing on that foot and use crutches. I'm not sure who to trust and what treatment plan to follow. Any light you can throw on this foot would be appreciated. PS: I recently fractured the 5th metatarsal on my other (right) foot. Just mentioning it in case it's relevant in any way.
1558461 tn?1295392601 could simply be the muscles and ligaments of those stressed joints yelling in protest. Or causing other bones to rub together differently and thus cause joint inflammation. Have you been seen for the chronic pain in your toe? It sounds like you need to get to the root cause.
Avatar n tn ) A few days after the specialists office i started getting this pain in my foot again. This time it started right where my foot and ankle meet about an inch in from outer ankle bone. Sometimes when i get up to walk on it, it's a very sharp pain that radiates through the rest of my foot, sometimes even into my calf.
1148201 tn?1262165258 There are two menisci, anterior and posterior cruciate ligaments and medial and lateral collateral ligaments in your knee joint, total six ligaments. Sometimes there are accidents where you injure medial meniscus, medial collateral ligament and anterior cruciate ligament together and this is called O'Donoghue triad. So it is possible that you have multiple ligaments involved and you have to go for a surgery and then follow up with proper physiotherapy to recover completely. Take care!
Avatar f tn I am 23 years old and have asked in my age group to talk with someone else whos baby has been diagnosed with club foot, but no luck. Just wondering if anyone here is going through what I am?
Avatar f tn There is also a tightening of the ligaments on the outside of the toe, and a release of the ligaments on the inside, so the tension on the ligaments points the toe in the proper direction. The major drawback to bunion surgery is that you will have pain in the foot, and probably not be completely healed for about three months. The most common complication of bunion surgery is a recurrence of the bunion months or years later.
Avatar f tn weeks They check the spine, heart, kidney, bladder, take measurement of babys size such as skull and I think they do crown to heel measurements rather than crown to rump. Also check foot for Club foot and measure femur bone. They do do a lot of checking but dont worry its precautionary for the most part. Theu do watch the heart beat and examine of course to make sure all os developing correctly. Its actually neat to see the babys spine and heart etc. good luck!

Avatar f tn ve found heel cups work well for the heel spurs but is there another insert that would help with bone spurs on the outside area of the foot? Will surgery remove them indefinitely or can they return?
Avatar f tn I am now having issues with part of the bottom of my foot, including the ball of my foot and all my toes except the last three. When I move my foot, it feels like it has been asleep with the tingling, like pins and needles, and I cant go without shoes on that foot, I cant wear sandals, and when I do try to go without shoes on, the heal of my foot feels like the bone is going thru my foot. When I relax of an evening, my foot has like muscle spasms.
Avatar m tn Tried some slow pace walking today on the treadmill and the outside of my ankle /bottom heel area of my foot started tingling. Wondering if this is normal for a sprain. I tried looking for enough but could not find munch on outside of the ankle tingling all was about the inside of the ankle.
Avatar n tn It is possible that there is a fracture as well as ruptured ligaments and tendons. If there are ruptured ligaments or tendons and they are not repaired you will have ankle instability that can cause some more serious problems. Even if they are partially torn your ankle needs to be in a cast. I realize you don't have insurance so it is going to be tough but it should be addressed properly. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn When my baby would shove her little hand or foot down there, it would always feel better if i pushed on it so idk. It could be the ligaments stretching like cassidy said.
Avatar n tn I believe I corrected the cause of my neuroma - tight shoes, lax ligaments BUT NOW I want to know what are the chances that the enlarged nerve measured at .55cm by ultrasound will go back to normal someday? Can excess sheathing and scar tissue be broken down by the body? I need to believe a benign tumor mass like this neuroma can dissolve on its own?
Avatar n tn It could be shin splints. As a jumper in high school i have it. But many runners that i know get them. its when the ligaments a believe it is. am unsure you could look it up. well its when the ligaments in the bottom of your foot "drop" and it pulls down on the ligaments in your shin. Since it turns into a ring this may not be so. but you could try ice before and i have like a compression wrap around the area. then ice afterwards.
