Well, I would ask your liver doctor about it but, are you on tx? I took a plethora of drugs on tx, including two different ad's and nobody, including two different hepatologists, seemed to have a problem with it. Of course, my liver enzymes were high as all get out from the time I got hcv in July of 2007 until the time I finished treatment, but then they resolved back to my pre-hcv levels which are extremely low. teens or twenties, something like that.

I'm on 50mg of prednisolone for liver inflammation, it was 40mg but the inflammation hasn't gone down. I'm totally wired all the time, my atrial fibrillation is all over the place. My anxiety is too much to bear. I'm an anxiety/depression sufferer anyway and take fluoxetine twice daily and was given diazepam 2mg 3xdaily. Now I'm reading one can counteract the other regarding prednisolone and diazepam? Please help?

My brother went to a psychiatrist and he prescribed him fluoxetine and xanax. He said that my brother should take one 20mg tablet of fluoxetine for the morning and 0.5 tablet for xanax for morning and night for 14 days . He said to take the 0.5 mg xanax tablet half in morning and the other half at night So, my brother took the fluoxetine and xanax for 14 days and then again went to the psychiatrist. My brother has not felt any improvement for his ocd or depression from the tablets.

In my research I also see that taking it with anything that inhibits liver enzyme CYP2D6 (which both Fluoxetine and Duloxetine do) can cause the levels of the medication to build up in the body essentially behaving like you have taken more than you have. My question is, would it be safe to add a very tiny dose, say, 3 mg as a sleep aid to my medications. If it builds up enough to mimic say 6 mg or 10 mg that wouldn't be too bad.

Diazepam can occasionally cause increased liver enzyme or liver problems. Since the ultrasound was normal then it probably is the drug causing the fluctuations. Other drugs such as Tylenol and so forth can raise your liver enzymes as well.

I cannot seem to kick the Daytime sleepiness. I am taking 40 mg, fluoxetine, 150 bupropion. When I was on the bupropion with lamictal it seemed like I had less of this sleepiness. Is there a possibility that lamictal may help? Anyone with experience on this? Should I up the fluoxetine, up the bupropion, switch bupropion for lamictal , add lamictal, up bupropion? Thoughts?

I went to the doctors and saw a new doctor 5 weeks ago and he said he would take me off trazadone 50mg and to start taking fluoxetine i asked him when i take the fluoxetine he said today and in 4 weeks he will cut down my trazadone. But the 4 week appointment he was not in so i cancelled it.

How long before I begin to see any benefits? Also, two more questions - they may seem trivial, but they are bothering me - is it safe to break open the Fluoxetine capsules, as I can not swallow them? Fluoxetine is generic Prozac. I've been on it a few times, and I'm back on it again. It will take 4-6 weeks before you begin to feel a difference (sometimes sooner). But it will happen. The only side effect I've ever had from it was insomnia, but that always goes away in a few weeks, so give it some time. As far as alcohol goes, you don't say how much you drank, but I have had a couple of beers now and then on fluoxetine without any problems.

There's no such thing as a nervous breakdown. You need to get into therapy. As for the medication, you won't know if it'll work until you try it -- we all react differently. Alcohol increases depression and stomach problems, so that's a problem, not a remedy.

Ive been to the doctors and they put me on Fluoxetine tablets. One a day until they tell me to stop. However I've had two so far but want to stop. I know you have to slowly come off of them but if I've only had two can I just stop? Please help!

About a month ago I went to see a psych and he put me on 40mg of fluoxetine and told me to come back in a month and a half to up the dosage. However, I'm not sure if it's working for me... or if I'm just getting bad side effects. ve been taking 40mg propanolol 3 times a day for 2 years for anxiety and have just been prescribed 20mg of fluoxetine to be taken daily to tackle depression but the doctor never said anything about stopping taking the propanolol, although everything I've found online says it's a dangerous combination. Is it safe to take them both together or should I be replacing the propranolol with the fluoxetine?
