m getting from your message is that his doctor is taking him from 20 mg to 40 mg and ultimately to 60 mg correct? The Xanax is to help calm his anxiety that he is having. Here's the thing though. It usually takes a good 4 to 6 weeks before the therapeutic dosage is built up in his system. So it could be that the doctor is trying to see if he can tolerate a higher dose and taking him there slowly.
The Xanax is good. It is quick acting but doesn't last very long in the system.
I cannot seem to kick the Daytime sleepiness. I am taking 40 mg, fluoxetine, 150 bupropion. When I was on the bupropion with lamictal it seemed like I had less of this sleepiness.
Is there a possibility that lamictal may help? Anyone with experience on this? Should I up the fluoxetine, up the bupropion, switch bupropion for lamictal , add lamictal, up bupropion?

I am on antidepressants from 1999 till today- They are ---- Fluoxetine Hydrochloride - 60 mg, Lithium - 900 mg, Carbamazepine - 400mg and Amtriptilene Hydrochloride - 12.5 mg... I always had constipation (passing stool in 3-4 days) from 1999 to 2009 but I never had bloating or distension.

I am 75. I take 75 mg of atenolol and 40 mg of benazepril hcl every day. I had an echo stress test (speed increases every two minutes) and at 6 minutes my blood pressure starting falling so the test was stopped and the doctor said sometimes with blood pressure medicine that happens. He said my heart was fine. I had a by-pass 12 years ago. So do I have to worry?

I ve been on 20mg fluoxetine since a year now, and a week now my doc increased my meds from 20mg to 40 mg, so basically it's been 5 days Im on 40 mgs fluoxetine. Now the holidays are here and it is a period of drinking, I really dont know what to do because I like to drink when Im out with Friends, so what should I do? I can usually go untill around 2 or 3 before I start feeling jittery and have to take another Klonopin. I started on the Fluoxetine at 40 mg and I just went to the doctor today and she increased it to 60 mg. Does this medication really work for panic attacks and anxiety?
