Concomitant use of tramadol and serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine increases the risk of seizures and serotonin syndrome. It may also reduce the pain relieving properties of the tramadol. If you must take tramadol, do not take it at the same time as fluoxetine. Try to take tramadol and imitrex a few hours apart from the fluoxetine.

If I do the thomas and amino and fluoxetine all at once and stop taking tramadol if I will still get sick I wish I knew someone that has tried this...

My husband got sick and I had to do more and had even more pain and was gives the morphine sulfate and was ok for awhile, but I think I just have to accept this is cp and mixing drugs is not fun. I was an exercise nut my whole life and hurt myself but I think the tramadol is playing with my emotions, I have never been this unhappy. Yes, I do have lots to be down about but I think it's time to stop. I stopped the morphine easy and restarted it but the tramadol I heard is much harder.

Hi ive just been put on tramadol 50mg every 4-6 hrs as well as 20mg fluoxetine a day and 10mg of amitriptyline at night. Can someone tell me if this combination of drugs is safe to use as my doctor and pharmacist refuse to give me a straight and.

With dealing with these issues at this time and coming off the medication I am definately suicidal and that scares the hell out of me. My doctor say Tramadol has not addiction affects and my pharmacist say there might be just a little withdrawals.

I just have to keep it in my head that I took tramadol for years and I wont feel better over night. I just want it to stop whispering in my head "you could feel better instantly if you took just one". Thankfully I dont have any and can not get any. It helps that pretty much everyone in my life knows about my problem and I dont have to pretend I feel perfect and happy. One long slow day at a time right? I hope the best for you all too!

ve tried over 10 on many different intervals and finally gave up and found a way, for me, that works to handle any of my depression issues. I do however, take Tramadol as it helps me immensely with the aches and pains and actually gives me a bit of a mood boost as well. I do not take the Tramadol that has acet./Tylenol in it. I take just the regular strength of Tramadol 50mg, not the ER. It works fine for me.

If you took a lot of both drugs, Melatonin and fluoxetine. Would/could they do any serious damage? I am on fluoxetine and take melatonin regularly.

Yes I suffer from the same problems as you describe above and have been on and off fluoxetine for several years for major depression and I can reassure you that the side effects as far as increased anxiety at the beginning of treatment are common and I have had to take an antianxiety medication for the first couple of weeks to combat this effect. In 2-3 weeks it should subside and that's usually when I also start to feel the desired effect of fluoxetine.

hello, just wondered if anyone has any advice, im currently taking 40mg of fluoxetine but feel this is not quite enough, my doc wont prescribe me 60mg dose but instead has given me 10mg buspirone to take alongside the fluoxetine. has anybody taken this combination of meds and is it helpful?

How long must one take Tramadol for the w/d to set in? My Dr. replaced vics with Tramadol and I have taken it as directed for 5 days. 2 every 6 hrs. I almost didn't fill the script out of fear of possible opiate like w/ds, but I did and have taken it for 5 days now. If I start tapering today will I still suffer bad w/d's? If I can avoid the w/d I'll deal with the physical pain.

not sure what this means.. melatonin reduces the antidepressant effect of fluoxetine.. and then in the last sentence fluoxetine has lead to a measurable depletion of melatonin in people..

My brother went to a psychiatrist and he prescribed him fluoxetine and xanax. He said that my brother should take one 20mg tablet of fluoxetine for the morning and 0.5 tablet for xanax for morning and night for 14 days . He said to take the 0.5 mg xanax tablet half in morning and the other half at night So, my brother took the fluoxetine and xanax for 14 days and then again went to the psychiatrist. My brother has not felt any improvement for his ocd or depression from the tablets.

I am 38 years old and 4 and half months pregnant with my first baby. Before getting preg. I was taking 20 mg of fluoxetine once a day. When I first found out I was preg. i stopped. Lately, I have been having bradycardia issues, specifically in the evening time. My pulse is usually between 48 and 52 beats per minute... which is a bit low for me. I am taking the medicine for hypertension... but since heart disease runs in my family and fish oil has some pretty good evidence behind it, I thought I would take it 2. Any comments, suggestions?

i just started on fluoxetine and it depends on when you take it, if your taking it in the morning then switching to the evenings should solve the problem.

I've had depression for some time and was prescribed fluoxetine a few months ago. In the second and third week of taking it I experienced what I can only describe as mild euphoria and a sort of agitation- not being able to sleep, restlessness and the shakes- which was not unpleasant because of the euphoric feeling that accompanied it.

Ive been to the doctors and they put me on Fluoxetine tablets. One a day until they tell me to stop. However I've had two so far but want to stop. I know you have to slowly come off of them but if I've only had two can I just stop? Please help!
