Avatar m tn I have been taking a lorazepam to sleep for many months now and it used to work great. I also take fluoxetine, lamotrigine and singulair daily. Anyone heard of this or have ideas? Thanks.
Avatar f tn I also have depression, eating disorder for which i was quarter of olanzapine and fluoxetine combine. coz my weight has shot up causing bp so i have stopped the meds for depression now.
Avatar f tn in the 90s various antidepressants were added to it from april 2010, i took quarter tablet of fluoxetine/olanzipine combine for sometime and stopped but continued with lorazepam 1mg to 2mg till april 28th, when i started to take three fourth of lorazepam till today. meanwhile i had a fight with mother and felt tightness in the chest so when to a doc and he said my blood pressure is high and put me telmisartan 40mg so i am wondering whether my bp high could have a withdrawal symptom.
Avatar f tn 1/4 of 20 fluoxetine and 5mg olanzapine combo and 3/4 lorazepam is high or low.
Avatar n tn I have pretty severe social anxiety. Doc prescribed lorazepam and fluoxetine. I flat out refuse to take an SSRI. I have read wonderful things about benzos, and know of their addictive nature. Anyways, I tried the lorazepam (.5 mg) and went out with my friend. It did nothing. I only want to take a benzo before BAD social situations, not everyday. Upon the doc's consent, later, I took 1 mg. I think it helped a little, but I'm not sure.
Avatar f tn I am also taking lorazepam but have been taking it for 5 years as needed, and I feel like its not working as well anymore. I feel literally like running around and jumping out of my skin and it doens't feel good. My doctor told me that sometimes you feel worse when you start a medication before it feels better. Have you experienced that? Please let me know. I feel tweaked out. I can't relax enough to sleep!
1063764 tn?1272821064 If you took a lot of both drugs, Melatonin and fluoxetine. Would/could they do any serious damage? I am on fluoxetine and take melatonin regularly.
Avatar f tn Yes I suffer from the same problems as you describe above and have been on and off fluoxetine for several years for major depression and I can reassure you that the side effects as far as increased anxiety at the beginning of treatment are common and I have had to take an antianxiety medication for the first couple of weeks to combat this effect. In 2-3 weeks it should subside and that's usually when I also start to feel the desired effect of fluoxetine.
543959 tn?1301315419 hello, just wondered if anyone has any advice, im currently taking 40mg of fluoxetine but feel this is not quite enough, my doc wont prescribe me 60mg dose but instead has given me 10mg buspirone to take alongside the fluoxetine. has anybody taken this combination of meds and is it helpful?
Avatar m tn Unfortunately, I have been to many doctors many times, and they just look at me blankly. I am on fluoxetine, for anxiety rather than depression, although it is an antidepressant. I was referred to a psychiatrist, who suggested an anti-depressant, and then discharged me when he found out I was already on one. The fatigue and the anxiety definately feed into each other, and probably lower my mood because I find it hard to enjoy myself because I am so tired all the time.
Avatar m tn I've been on Zoloft just 1 week so far. Today, I started feeling a little better. I read it can take up to a month to work. I cut my dose of Lorazepam in half to see how I would feel and so far so good. I've been to counseling for years. I think the Lorazepam caught up to me as I'm not getting the benefits I used to out of it. Hopefully, the Zoloft alone will work eventually. Thanks for responding!
Avatar f tn not sure what this means.. melatonin reduces the antidepressant effect of fluoxetine.. and then in the last sentence fluoxetine has lead to a measurable depletion of melatonin in people..
Avatar n tn Fluoxetine (Prozac) has the slowest elimination of the SSRIs.
Avatar n tn I had anxiety when I was 14-15 related to I guess a phobia that something was wrong with my heart. I have had PVCs since then. I used to only get them about once every other week. So, it was easy to ignore. 9 months ago I started in a new line of work (teaching) and started having anxiety again and PVCs several times a day. I had a full-blown panic attack. I thought I was having a heart attack and would die any second. I did the ER thing. I've had several EKGs and one 48-hour holter monitor.
Avatar m tn For example, in natural medicine the thing to add would be passionflower and hops or kava or something like that, which if they work will do what lorazepam does without the addiction problem. There would also be dietary and exercise and meditation changes involved, a whole body approach as opposed to a one remedy cures all approach.
Avatar f tn Is it,and How, dangerous is it to take Percocets and Lorazepam together? My hysband takes both for back pain. He is also on an antidepressant......Should I be concerned?????
Avatar m tn My brother went to a psychiatrist and he prescribed him fluoxetine and xanax. He said that my brother should take one 20mg tablet of fluoxetine for the morning and 0.5 tablet for xanax for morning and night for 14 days . He said to take the 0.5 mg xanax tablet half in morning and the other half at night So, my brother took the fluoxetine and xanax for 14 days and then again went to the psychiatrist. My brother has not felt any improvement for his ocd or depression from the tablets.
Avatar m tn Concomitant use of tramadol and serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as fluoxetine increases the risk of seizures and serotonin syndrome. It may also reduce the pain relieving properties of the tramadol. If you must take tramadol, do not take it at the same time as fluoxetine. Try to take tramadol and imitrex a few hours apart from the fluoxetine.
Avatar f tn I am 38 years old and 4 and half months pregnant with my first baby. Before getting preg. I was taking 20 mg of fluoxetine once a day. When I first found out I was preg. i stopped. I recently experienced panic attacks and my doctor prescribed the same medication. Is it safe for my unborn child? I am very concerned please advise me!

Felt the axienty gone in about 10 days and stopped taking the lorazepam 4 days ago....keep in mind, during the last 15 days I havent taken OC or Subox. I AM NOW HAVEING TERRIBLE withdrawls at night. restless arms/legs, and insomnia. So my question is, am I having Lorazepam withdrawls or STILL withdrawls from the OC???? Im so lost.
Avatar m tn Can you take Melatonin and Nyquil with Venlafaxine ER and Lorazepam, or would that be a big mistake? I need sleep desparately!!!!
Avatar m tn Thank you Nurse girl, I will try my best, I wish you happy holidays and a great year to come... Do you think my fluoxetine will kick in in days and I will be motivated again? And is it normal sometimes to increase the dosage? I feel very bad because of the increase!
Avatar n tn Lorazepam and Ativan are the same medication. Ativan is the brand name, Lorazepam is the generic.
Avatar m tn Lately, I have been having bradycardia issues, specifically in the evening time. My pulse is usually between 48 and 52 beats per minute... which is a bit low for me. I am taking the medicine for hypertension... but since heart disease runs in my family and fish oil has some pretty good evidence behind it, I thought I would take it 2. Any comments, suggestions?
Avatar m tn i just started on fluoxetine and it depends on when you take it, if your taking it in the morning then switching to the evenings should solve the problem.
Avatar m tn The doctor prescribed anti-depressant before such as fluoxetine, fluvoxamine, Remeron, escitalopram, lorazepam but all of them have no any effect, and anti-psychotics such as Risperidone, haloperidol, after taking no remission at all.
Avatar f tn If there is no contraindication for taking depakote and lorazepam, they may tell you to go ahead and take your normal dose of lorazepam but to contact your doctor ASAP. Make some calls and you'll soon be back in control.......you'll be fine. And either find a new doctor or let this one know that when it comes to medications, anytime they add something or change something......
