I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). This has not cleared the thrush either.
Up till now, my thrush is still not cleared (since november 2010). I am afraid that it might have become very resistant to medication. Could you please advise me on what to do? Are there any other medications that I can take?
s lasted around 4 months in genital area, tested for STDs all negative. Doctor unsure as no obvious rash, prescribed 4 weeks of fluconazole to see if it is a fungal infection, 50mg every morning for 4 weeks.
Now the itching is still present 3 weeks in, would you expect the itching to have subsided by now? I'm unsure how this drug works.
Also I seemed to develop a small red rash whilst on these tablets that comes and goes?

Hi i got diagonised with gonnorhea on 19th october i was given ceftriaxone injection one for 5 days and ciprofloxacin 500mg *2 for five days the symptoms persisted the second time i was given three injections for three days. .
My blood cortisol level is high. My doctor ordered a 24 hour urine test. I am currently taking fluconazole tablets & miconozole cream for a yeast infection. Also, I used topical cortisone cream on my face yesterday. I plan to collect the urine tomorrow. Will any of this interfere with the results?

I have been to the doctor twice now to get it checked out. At first the doctor prescribe me some Fluconazole Tablets and Nystatin because she thought I had a yeast infection. After a month had gone by i have not seen an improvement. I went to the doctor again and saw another doctor. He prescribe to me clindamycin phosphate lotion. This also did not improve my symptom. Can someone tell me what's wrong with me.

Went to doctor with symptoms of vaginal yeast infection and extremely swollen lips covered in circle looking craters/blisters/sores. Was prescribed Fluconazole oral tablets, Monistat cream. It’s been a week and itching has pretty much went away, but my lips/labia are so swollen and I’m covered in round blister crater like sores that has now spread clear to my anus, and I get stabbing sharp pains in my clitoris area. The burning and pain is so bad I feel like I’m dying! I can’t close my legs.
Got time for myself and visit a urologist today - he recommended a circumcision. prescribed two tablets - fluconazole and cefuroxime axetil.
Please suggest if circumcision is the only way out? cant this be cured? I hate hospitals and the hospitalizations.
I was prescribed a Fluconazole tablet 150 mg to clear this out. On top of that I was also tested for CHlamydia and Gonorrhea eventhough the doctor told me that this was not an STD. The testes came back negative. Fluconazole did not help me because I was still experiencing those symptoms. When I called the clinic one more time, they told me I needed to go and see my gynecologist because they didnt know what to tell me.
I did wonder wether it was a fungal problem from taking antibiotics at the start but it does not respond to topical fungal cream, it did get a bit better with 2 weeks of fluconazole tablets but has come back.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts. I want to put an STD cause behind me but find that the start of this problem was too coincidental with the oral sex exposure.
For the Gonorrhea she gave me 400mg (1 tablet) of Suprax (Cefixime), for the Yeast Infection she gave me two 150mg tablets of Fluconazole (Diflucan) and for the Chlamydia she gave me 1g (powder) of Azithromycin (Zithromax). I took the Suprax right when I got home, then 1 tablet of the Fluconazole a few hours later, and that night, before bed, I took the Azithromycin exactly as it told me to do. The next day I took the last Fluconazole tablet.
Ob/GYN said I had a fungal infection and it had gone systemic. Prescribed course of Fluconazole tablets 150 mg, and the itch went away. I am imagining that his ongoing jock itch somehow spread through intercourse and gave me jock itch and introduced it into my vagina and beyond. Husband doesn't want to go see a doctor and insists his daily sprays "work." I'm symptom free and not wanting a reinfection. Are you sure it can't be spread person to person via intercourse?
I had an oral course of antibiotics that did not work (Cefoclox-6 tablets) and anti-fungal tablet (fluconazole -2 tablets in 1 week) treating yeast infections, but the symptoms are not are not subsiding. This is for the past two weeks with persistent irritation.I applied canestan cream, and Nystatin cream too. But to no help. What do I do now? Please reply a solution.
Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

I got treated for chlamydia... fluconazole, 1 dose and canesten intravaginal tablets. but i have trouble urinating. not painful but its like when im done peeing, i can feel that there are still some left but when i go to pee, nothing comes out.
