Avatar m tn I am not really familier with Zolax, but does it contain alprazolam? I agree that you need to discuss this with your doctor to make sure you are taking it the correct way. As with any benzo, you can become dependent on it after long term use and it should not be stopped without tapering.
5268376 tn?1406179712 I looked at Zithromax side effects, they vary by the dosage, single or multiple doses, doses in combination with another drug, and are listed as pre-marketing trials and post-marketing reports. Rhythm issues were reported less than 1% of the time in pre-marketing trials, and also in post-marketing reports. Post marketing reports are apparently voluntary and often include things clearly not related to the drug.

2030686 tn?1351688548 If you are careful not to touch the needle it is sterile, if you touch it with something like an alcohol swab, it is less sterile. Alcohol swabs are good at cleaning surface dirt, but not so much for sterility, that is why it is not used for sterility in hospitals. In paramedic school, they taught us that the only germs that alcohol kills are the ones that cannot swim...
726434 tn?1302056954 I tried a zillion different things, changing the food I ate, keeping my mouth well hydrated, using organic toothpaste (no Sodium Laurel Sulphates), non-alcohol mouthwashes, baking soda mouthwash (yukky!) and so on. It all helped a little but didn't really ease the discomfort. I became so desperate I finally went to my GP and stuck my tongue out her and she said "thrush!" and gave me a course of fluconazole which, touch wood, seems to be working.
Avatar m tn Hello, Leucopenia and thrombocytopenia are side effects of fluconazole. Since you have recently stopped taking the medicine, the petechiael rash should disappear in a few days. If the symptoms persist or worsen you should get it evaluated from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar m tn Common side effects include headache, nausea, and abdominal pain. Other side effects included diarrhea, dyspepsia, dizziness, rash, and taste disturbance. Rarely, serious allergic reactions, including angioedema (swelling of tissues), may also occur. Liver dysfunction (jaundice, hepatitis) and abnormal heart beats have been associated with fluconazole.
Avatar n tn ve tried to better my diet and when doing a bit of research, found that one of the side effects of taking fluconazole was hair loss. I've immediately stop taking this and want to know if my hairloss situation should get better. I was taking this medication for a nail fungus I had, it's already gone. I was going to take my last dose in two days, but don't think it will make a difference if I stop taking it now. I really just want to know if my hair will grow back.
Avatar f tn Anytime you are on a prescription medication and you see a change or something happens, it's best to report it to your doctor so they are aware of what is happening- they will also be able to tell you if it's a side effect or something totally separate. Since fluconazole is used to treat yeast infections- it's not likely the cause, but the doctor should still know that you saw the fungal infection return, despite being on the medication.
Avatar m tn After 7 days of taking fluconazole, whole body itching started. Specifically in arms, face, chest, side abdomen, scalp, genital area and legs. it have been 20 days since that, initially intermitten days and now daily. I suffer for anxiety sometimes and have bowel movement and loose stools.
Avatar n tn The treatment that you have been prescribed is correct. If you are having any side effects then get the antibiotics changed and even oral antibiotics can be added. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn Although antibiotics are relatively safe drugs, as stated, there are some side effects. These side effects could potentially become exacerbated if a person ingests alcohol when taking antibiotics. Furthermore, the mixture of both antibiotics and alcohol can also have some additional negative effects on the body. Alcohol and the Effectiveness of Antibiotics Alcohol does not effect the effectiveness of the majority of antibiotics.
Avatar m tn From what I understand, the medication can cause some discomfort and itching as it works to rid the body of the yeast- however, I would call your doctor to let them know about the side effect so they can address it and note it as needed.
Avatar f tn Have any of you ladies taken a single dose of fluconazole 150 mg during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I have no side effects as long as I eat low carb and avoid alcohol. Also, make sure to take it right when you start eating, or right before, not on an empty stomach.
Avatar m tn It is not a fun experience. I did not have an episode, I was just really sick. Check out the side effects of all medications because I believe that some of them make it difficult for a person to vomit; which is very dangerous. ALERT: I am not suggesting that anyone should drink.
Avatar n tn alcohol should never be stopped suddenly unless under a supervised setting due to the many side effects with stopping Some are good with a taper removing 1 drink every so many days to lower the risk of seizures/hallucinations.. we have a forum dedicated to getting off the alcohol You may want to check it out.. I wish you well..
Avatar f tn Everyone reacts to medication differently. A medication that might work for me might be disastrous for you. You might have started at too high of a dose or increased your dose too fast, you might be on too high of a dose for your body or it might just simply be the wrong medication for you. I would inform your doctor of these side effects right away if you haven't done so already.
Avatar n tn If you are SVR and little to no liver damage it is my understanding it is ok to drink a safe amount of alcohol. The same logic anyone should use with safe alcohol consumption with no hepc . Alcohol will not bring hep c back. Alcohol is only a problem if it is hard for you to control your limits.
Avatar f tn Fall of last year I switched from the birth control pill to the Depo shot in hopes of eliminating side effects. Initially I had no issues with the shot, but in November I became very ill, caught the flu, and my health plummeted. I was sick until February. I lost 10 pounds, was so tired I could hardly function, and on top of everything I ended up with BV.
Avatar f tn The effects of alcohol are increased by medicines that slow down the central nervous system, such as sleeping pills, antihistamines, antidepressants, antianxiety drugs, and some painkillers. In addition, medicines for certain disorders, including diabetes and heart disease, can be dangerous if used with alcohol. If you are taking any over-the-counter or prescription medications, ask your doctor or pharmacist whether you can safely drink alcohol.
Avatar f tn C albicans can be resistant to drugs ending in azole. Diflucan is Fluconazole. They can give you Amphotericin B but it has bad side effects. I would the infectious doctor.
