He said to me that is it not a dermatophytosis but eczema. The rash was spreading very fast, he tried to give me oral fluconazole (Triflucan 200) during 2 weeks. The result was very good : more than half of my rash was cured. Itching had disappeared. The rash stopped to extend. The effect had begun at day 13-14 and until 6 weeks after the end of the treatement. After, they gave me itraconazole 200 (Sporanox) during 1 week and it worked very well.
Soon after, I developed a yellowish/whitish coating on my tongue. I went to see a demonologist and was told it was oral thursh (I have not had this before). I was prescribed various mouthwashes and they did not work. I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). This has not cleared the thrush either.
I have been diagnosed with oral thrush. I wont get much into the details on how i got it but it was through a sexual encounter. So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen.
Been diagonosed with Oral thrush, annoying at the back of my tounge on the 'papllae vallatee' and was perscribed Nystan 4 times a day.
I take this at 7am - 12pm - 5pm & 10pm.
I started the course 4 days ago and about 25% of the thrush has gone, but the rest is persisting.
Any advice?
Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
On the 17/Jul/08 I had my very first –supposed- penile yeast infection, saw a GP, he looked at it and prescribed one tablet of fluconazole 150 and Lotrisone cream for 14 days, it cleared it well..
On the 11/Sep/09 I was prescribed Ciprofloxacin for another infection, during which I developed what seemed like slight thrush on the middle of my tongue (still have it, didn’t get any worst).
It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days.
What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
The pelvic pain went away (even though I have been feeling pelvic pain again for the past 24 hours but my period is due tomorrow or the day after so I have dismissed it) but the pinprick itching is way less than the initial symptoms but still there.

Yesterday I discovered a pimple on the outside, lower part of my vagina. I hadn't even felt it there until I was getting ready to shower.
I've been to my doctor to see if they can help me and the gave me fluconazole 150mg. But I notice that I have these patches on my penis one under my foreskin and the other 3 under my my shaft. I've been tested only Positive for oral herpes, everything else was negative. The patches are shiny and itchy I don't know if I should go to a different doctor or a specialist.

He may instead prescribe a medication like Fluconazole which comes as a capsule. You can purchase Fluconazole 100mg (1 single dose) without a prescription from the pharmacist, but the doctor can prescribe a stronger and longer term use if this is required.
Get it seen to so that you can get the correct diagnose and the correct treatment as soon as possible. Avoid kissing and oral sex to avoid passing it on.
Hi, I am a 31 year old male and I took 2 doses of fluconazole to treat a yeast infection, I now have a rash coming up on the bottom of my feet only on the arches , ankles, wrist, hands, and arms. They are small flat head and raised like blisters but don't seem to be filled with fluid and doesn't really itch, can the fluconazole cause this skin reaction?
Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

So a month ago I noticed my younger was completely coated in something white, so I went to my schools health office and they said it was an oral thrush infection. They gave my a swish anti fungal medicine which I have now run out of. There is still an overgrowth of yeast on my tongue though. I've never experienced this before last month. Your doctor would be able to prescribe an antifungal medication that is taken by mouth for this. Although a single oral dose of 100mg of Fluconazole may help (this can be purchased without a prescription form the pharmacy), your doctor can prescribe a much stronger and longer dosage.
I would suggest that you make an appointment to see your doctor to discuss your problem with him to identify why you are feeling like this so that you can then be treated appropriately.
So my doc prescribe me fluconazole for a yeast infection I'm currently 30wks pregnant, when I picked it up it had 2 little packets in it with one pill each and doc says to take 1 a day but as I'm reading the instructions it says 1pill clears everything and you only need a 1time dosage. Do I take both pills or just one why would he prescribe me 2 if directions clearly state 1? Any ladies ever had to take for yeast infection while preggo what did your doc prescribe?

i have sexual intercourse with a prostitude...i used condom bt during oral sex i didnt use condom....n also i just drink some milk from her breast...after 4 days i got red spots on my penis...i went to a doc n he said it was fungal infection...i used clotrimazole cream n fluconazole 150 tab bt it did clear off. I b tested elisa test after 12 days.result was negative...then an hiv test after 75 days it waa also negativeee...bt my fear is do i want to test after 6 months...
