Fluconazole kidney

Common Questions and Answers about Fluconazole kidney

diflucan

Avatar f tn I have had uti since 2 years old (kidney reflux) that turned into to major kidney stone problem and I was infected with ESBL ecoli. For the past 2 years I have a fungal infection in my urine. I have had 6 rounds of diflucan to no avail. My urology dr is at a loss. Should I be seeing an infectious disease dr at this point? When I take diflucan I feel better quickly. Once I stop within a few days I feel terrible again. They prescribe diflucan for 14 days. Had it 6 x’s. Always comes back.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar f tn my dr gave me fluconazole for my infection ,3 pills in 3 days .should we skip or take it regular.because she told me take it wednesday ,thursday ,and sunday,,thank..
Avatar f tn I went to the doc today because I knew I had a uti but this is my first yeast infection ever. They gave me Fluconazole for the yeast infection and 250mg ampicillin that I have to take two at a time 3 times a day. My question is does anyone have experience with either of these meds and do they work quickly? I'm super miserable.
Avatar f tn I am 9 wks pregnant is it safe to take the fluconazole 200 mg to treat my yeast infection? It is only one pill but I am still unsure if it is safe...please help?
Avatar f tn This may be due to your hormone levels. Sometimes swollen feet can be indicative of kidney or heart problems. With Thrush, you can get this in your mouth as well as down below. So you will need a one dose oral capsule called Fluconazole which costs £10 from the chemist without a prescription. Oral thrush medication is a gel called Daktarin for the mouth only and is about £3-£4 at the chemist. You can also buy Canesten from the chemist for vaginal problems.
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
110491 tn?1274481937 For the past month now I have been having intermittent dull, sometimes burning pain in my right kidney - nothing really bad that sends me to the ER, but bothersome nonetheless. At the same time I started noticing foam in my urine and started feeling really rundown, tired, with loss of appetite. Dipstick urinalysis, urine culture came back negative. Was put on Macrobid for 7 days and I started feeling better overall except for foam and appetite.
Avatar f tn I was positive for a yeast infection. my doc gave me an antibiotics called Fluconazole 200mg (take one every 3 days). Also a cream to put on affected area called Nystatin/Triamcinolone.I didnt use the cream like i was suppose to (twice a day for 7 days). I finished the medicine and still had burning at end of urination. I went back to the doctor and and tested my urine again and it was clean.
Avatar f tn Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Avatar f tn Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
Avatar f tn but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
Avatar m tn Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.
Avatar n tn He is Rxing fluconazole for 6 weeks, one tab a day, 100mg. Is this safe? I am healthy for the most part, 40 yr old female with Hashimoto's. My main symptom is chronic stomach bloating. He is doing an ultrsound and x-ray of abdomen as well but wanted to get advice on this long term use of fluconazole. Thank you for your time.
Avatar n tn I washed my penis regularly and applied clotrimazole and fluconazole (oral) but it didnt help much. Then about 3 months ago, I a very mild(vague) pain in my left abdomen which come and goes. Now i started to have the same pain (mild too) on my right side. Also, I used to experience a mild burning sensation on my penis when I urinate and ejaculate which now subside. Do I have a kidney problem or contracted STD?
Avatar n tn It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days. What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
Avatar m tn This time I took fluconazole 150 mg that my doctor prescribed at the last visit. I even took a second dose 72 hours later and I am still having itching, redness, and soreness. I am scared now, I don't know why fluconazole isn't working (it worked for me in the past). What else can I use? I feel out of options, since fluconazole failed. It can't be bacterial, because discharge is white and odorless.
Avatar m tn Your normal doctor should be able to do a swab test and send it to the laboratory for testing. You can purchase 100mg Fluconazole that is a 1 single dose treatment without a prescription from the pharmacy. You will need to check with the pharmacist as I do not know which country you are in. You can also purchase antifungal creams specifically to apply to the genitals. Your doctor can prescribe a longer course of the antifungals if you need them.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Now I'm scared because I don't know if I could take this pill this late in my pregnancy I'm 39 week now. Have anyone ever took this pill after 35 weeks?
Avatar f tn Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
Avatar n tn So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt.
Avatar f tn I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). This has not cleared the thrush either. Up till now, my thrush is still not cleared (since november 2010). I am afraid that it might have become very resistant to medication. Could you please advise me on what to do? Are there any other medications that I can take?
Avatar f tn l was prescribed Fluconazole by my doctor, there are 3 pink tables(pills). Both, my OB/GYN and the pharmacist doctor said they are safe for third trimester pregnancy. l'm 37 weeks. Started taking them at 36 weeks.
