fluconazole in cats

Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.

I believe the itching was due to an chemical imbalance within the body as you stated (vitamins) in your original post. I am not sure but I know that fluconazole help.

About two weeks ago I started getting intense itching in my vulva area with very runny, abnormal discharge. I went to the gyno and she said she didn't see any trichomoniasis under microscope, and didn't think I had a yeast infection. However, she prescribed me Metronidazole, and Fluconazole. I have just finished these medications, and I have one more Fluconazole to take next week. She also swabbed me for any STD's and everything came back negative.

Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.

Usually a pharmacist is correct because they have a guideline that pops up that says do not take for these and they know medications so well. I work in a pharmacy, so I always ask them if it's safe to take anything during pregnancy because they know.

All my cats are indoor cats. Indoor cats live longer and stay healthier. I do leave them out in the back yard on weekends for about an hour, supervised of course.

I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...

Sure, it is safe to take. I personally like the one day Monostat ovules for yeast infections but fluconazole works really great. Hope it clears it up quickly!

Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.

It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days. What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.

Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???

A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Now I'm scared because I don't know if I could take this pill this late in my pregnancy I'm 39 week now. Have anyone ever took this pill after 35 weeks?

Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.

So It has been around 3-4 weeks and I still having symptoms. First I was taking Nystatin then my Doctor prescribed me Fluconazole. While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt.

I have been on Coumadin for most of the last two years following two episodes of clots in my right leg. My INR varied between 1.8 and 2.4 and most often was between 2.0 and 2.2. In those two years may other medications, my diet, and level of exercise remained mostly the same. My Coumadin dose was 5mg four days a week and 7.5mg three days a week for most of the two years. Now my INR has suddenly jumped up. Yesterday it tested at 4.9, so my doctor had me retested today and it was 4.3.

I feel SOOO horrible and like a bad mommy. A couple of weeks ago- close to a month- I noticed the pupil in one of Taz's eyes was not reacting like the other and the colored part had a little red in it. I didn't have time to get him in right then- my mom has end stage cancer, has been in and out of the hospital and needs 24/7 care which falls to me when I am not at work. Anyway, last week I called his vet to set up an appointment.
