How long does the yeast infection medicine fluconazole take to take affect? I took it wednesday and still having the white discharge and smell?

Fluconazole does work on yeast infections as it is an antifungal. Clindamycin is different and is an antibiotic. It fights bacteria, not yeast or fungus. Clindamycin can create a situation in which you get a yeast infection. It's not used to treat a yeast infection but fluconazole is.

Never worked for me but, it does for some so definitely worth a try.

I am starting the slimfast program tomorrow. My question is does it really work? I am also in a wheel chair..But i do get my legs walking 1 or 2 hours a day .

Does not work in many, fluconazole. Your doc may put you on terbinafine, or griseofulvin for best results.

I have a groin fungus. It does not itch but can be moderately painful. I have been treated with Nystatin, Ketoconazole, Clotrimazole, Clotimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate, fluconazole and itraconazole, one at a time over many months. Do not take another one. If you threw it up, then you threw it up. It safer to just take a day off from prenatals rather than taking another one and possibly having to go to the hospital for to many minerals and vitamins .

According to the Lyrica website you could feel relief as soon as one week, but for some people it may take longer. It also depends on how high your dosage is right now. How is it diagnosed? Some doctors can just look at it and diagnose it. For fungus like a dermatophyte as I mentioned this probably is they can just tell by the symptoms and what it looks like. For yeast they can culture it or do a molecular test or even microscopic test. It is pretty easy to tell. Most doctors just treat things.
