Avatar n tn hi i have taken tablet fluconazole 300mg at the end of 4 weeks of pregnancy.that is approximately on the 11th day of conception. i m a primigravida aged 32 yrs and a general practitioner. i m really worried wheather 2 continue this pregnancy as effect of the tab lasts for 7 days in blood and medical literature i reffered 2 shows that even a single tab fluconazole taken during pregnancy has left to birth defects.
Avatar f tn These medications are given on a monthly basis and help to stimulate ovulation. They will help improve chances for conception and also help regulate the periods if no conception occurs. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Hello and hope you are doing well. There are no known interactions between fluconazole and propranolol, so you can safely take them together. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever taken fluconazole? It's a tablet you take (only one) for yeast infection. My pharmacist said it's not for pregnant women but when I called the doc and told him what the pharmacist said he said it was ok to take. Has anyone else been prescribed this? I'm worried.
Avatar f tn Fluconazole is an antifungal and one pill stays in the blood stream for 3 days. It is normal to take a 'loading dose' the first time which helps get a jump start on the infection. I would take it as the doctor directed. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn A month ago I self diagnosed and treated a yeast infection based on my previous yeast infection (diagnosed by a doctor a few years ago). I treated with Monistat (miconazole)cream, which mostly cleared up my symptoms. I still felt somewhat irritated down there so I went to the doctor. She took a swab sample that came back negative for yeast/bacteria/gonorrhea/chlamydia.I felt fine for 2 weeks, then felt intense burning during intercourse . A few days after that, the itch was back.
Avatar n tn It is not killing probiotic cultures in your bowels. And 6 weeks is not really longterm, especially since fluconazole is not an antibiotic, but an antifungal. Candida is a mean one, and hard to get rid of. But Candida hates a balanced diet with lots of beans, veggies, wholemeal, yoghurt and fruits. Reduce your meat and sugar intake to aid the meds to kill it off. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.
Avatar m tn I have had rashes and dark skin on and around scrotum and inner thigh for last 5-6 years. In the beginning rashes and small cuts used to appear between inner thighs and they would heal themselves but they left dark and loose skin when they disappeared. But for last 2-3 months these rashes and cuts started appearing again in ferocious way and these have extended on testicle skins too. When they appear it itches too much results in small cuts with small blood. i m very depressed.
Avatar m tn oh and the doctor gave me medicine for thrush anyway (two 100 mg fluconazole pills one to take that day and one for 2 days later) and it didnt go away so it must not be thrush
Avatar m tn Anyone ever take fluconazole 150mg oral pill for a yeast infection in their first trimester. I phoned a pharmacist and he said it was fine and all the research I've done says as long as it's not in high doses the baby should be ok, but I am having some major anxiety.
Avatar f tn Was anyone prescribe this by their doctor them made it to the Pharmacy and was told you couldn't take it bc you're pregnant ??
Avatar f tn I've taken Clindamycin and fluconazole to kill a yeast infection. But now my doctor tells me I might possibly get it back because antibiotics can cause yeast infections. I'm not even sure...
Avatar f tn Based off the symptoms I was having they told me that I had a yeast infection-(I had one about three months ago). They prescribed me fluconazole. I took it and felt better, but went back into my gynecologist for a follow up on Thursday(my symptoms were almost completely gone at this point.) They took a swab and said it the results said no it wasn’t a yeast infection, but she said yes she was sure I had had one. I took she told me to take the second dose of fluconazole, which I did that day.
Avatar f tn I work out 4 times a week so i sweat a lot. But 4 months ago, it started itching down there especially around my perianal area! When i got concerned i check my perianal area and saw that the skin are lighter than normal. I've used miconazole thinking it might be a jock itch but nothing happened. Then i read something about tropical hydrocortisone and still nothing happened so then i decided to see a gynecologist.

Avatar n tn It spread rapidly from my torso to my arms and legs, and my neck. I went to see a doctor, who prescribed Fluconazole (150mg, 1 capsule a week for 4 weeks). After a few days the lesions on my stomach began to fade, so I felt I was getting better. I have just taken my third Fluconazole pill. The bad news is that although some parts of my body are definitely better, new ringworm has appeared on my face in the last few days. What should I do? I'm hoping to see the doctor again soon.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies I look the pill Fluconazole because I think I have a yeast infection my OB gave me two Fluconazole pills last month but I only need one and I just took the other one today. Avatar f tn Later she told me that she has got an sti and her gynac has prescribed a dose of fluconazole and anti fungal steroid cream and has asked me to do the same. I did as she prescribed and after that started applying coconut oil on my glans and penile head. Later after some time i started observing little red nerves kind of things appearing during masturbation with little bumps. Can someone please diagnose this problem.
Avatar n tn While I was taking this medications I felt like it was only preventing it from getting worse and not actually addressing the root cause. Just a couple days ago I stopped taking Fluconazole and my tongue and lips again started to get swollen. I have also been taking pro-biotics and have been eating natural yougurt. It seems that my Doctor is pretty clueless about yeast infections. The Fact that i had it for about a month now has me worried that there might be a worse condition behind it.
Avatar f tn I was then prescribed Nystatin oral suspension (3 bottles) and using it helped, but it did not completely clear the thrush. I went to my GP and he then prescribed Fluconazole tablets for me (50mg for 22 days). This has not cleared the thrush either. Up till now, my thrush is still not cleared (since november 2010). I am afraid that it might have become very resistant to medication. Could you please advise me on what to do? Are there any other medications that I can take?
Avatar f tn This comes in capsule form that you can also buy from the pharmacy without prescription. There is Fluconazole 150mg that is a single dose oral capsule and Fluconazole 50mg that comes in a pack of 7 which one capsule is taken daily for the 7 days. If you are sexually active, it would be a good idea to get checked out for any STD and also have your blood tested for diabetes.
