Common Questions and Answers about Fluconazole and alcohol interaction

diflucan

Well, I just got back from my doctor's and he said all of my blood work is normal. He said drinking alcohol is causing gastritis and if I continue, it will only get worse. This is terrible for my social life but great news for my fickely gastro thingy magingies. :) Besides, nothing good ever comes from a night out drinking, and now my friends have a designated driver!
beta carotene is safe at all doses) According to the April 1996 New England Journal of Medicine, the most common cause of acute liver failure in the United States is the negative interaction between acetaminophen (Tylenol) and alcohol. In addition, there are interactions that are less common but equally as serious. Research suggests individual genetic variations in liver enzymes may be the cause. Hope this helps!!
I also suspected that i had some form of food/drink allergy and began depriving myself of coffee and alcohol. The end result is that I eliminated coffee and alcohol (as much as i can) and do the nasal spray with the daily claritin and I feel better than I have felt in a long time. Hope this information is helpful to some, if not all of you.
For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations; 1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?) 2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum) 3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
Alcohol use is discouraged because of the potential interaction between alcohol and coumadin in patients with liver disease and due to the increased risks of bleeding if one was to fall after having a bit too much. An occasional glass of wine would probably be ok with your doctor. Q: Just how problematic and restrictive is the use of coumadin, I'm hearing and reading that this is a nasty drug to be on.
I've had THRUSH (YEAST INFECTION) since I was pregnant and I used MICREME (vag creme) for SIX consecutive days and applied it to the itchy area which is what my midwife prescribed for me and that calmed it down for a bit and then my midwife prescribed me CLOMAZOL (vag creme) I used that for SIX consecutive days and that did the same as the MICREME, I went to the doctors yesterday and my doctor prescribed me 1-FLUCONAZOLE CAPSULE and told me NOT to use SOAP near the vagina, she said to use AQUEOU

i don't have a lot of white discharge anymore, just burning when urinating and an uncomfortable feeling. my Dr. put me on fluconazole, it would get better and then come back. now i'm on a 2 month course of fluconazole taking one tablet a week, but things r still burning and i'm not sure if its working. i was freaking out thinking i had herpes or an STD, but all the tests were negative. Does anyone have any suggestion? thankss!
Yeah. Well that's what I hope-related to some kind of yeast thing, and not HPV-which would mean I have to wait until it runs it's course with me. My doctor actually told me to stick with the gold bond if it works, but that's treating the symptoms...sigh. I just had a run of anti biotics after a surgery, wouldn't that take care of any kind of BI/yeast/uti??
Unfortunately, that did not last. I started having the same signs again, and when I tested it was positive again. And ever since I can't get it to be negative again, meaning the candida if that is what I have has become resistant to the supplements that I was using. As I started a new treatment, I will take the test this week-end to see if there is any progress.
